- Locust Lake Village is a cabin community in the town of Pocono Lake. It's authentic rustic cabins contribute to a beautiful neighborhood of weekend getaways. More information Martz Trailways from Port Authority NYC to Mt. Pocono will take you where you need to get to. You can either take an Uber or have someone pick you up at 7 Fork St, Mt. Pocono. Wood burning fireplace. 600 sq ft back deck including a pergola, grill and hot tub. 3 Queen bedrooms and 1 communal bedroom with 3 additional Queen beds. 2 full bathrooms. With tall and beautiful trees covering the perimeter of the land, the house offers completely private surroundings. The closest lake is located at a brief 5 minute walk from the house, within an another larger lake located at an additional 10 minute walk. No Parties Sorry. Guest access Access to private hot tub and grill. 2 lakes with beach access. Children's playground. Tennis courts. Picnic tables and grills. Choose from 3 different lakes, each with a beach, children's playground, volleyball courts and 1 with boat rentals.

We were so excited to rent this property for a girls weekend as soon as we pulled up we knew it wasn’t going to be what we expected. Cobwebs covered the house, grass was overgrown, broken down grills and other shrapnel was laid up against the house. We enter the front door and thought maybe it wasn’t so bad- even though some of the furniture pictured here on VRBO wasn’t even in the house it looked quite different but then we immediately noticed the state of the house was very run down. As soon as we walked outside we noticed the most horrible smell ever, there was a leak of sewage in the backyard with toilet paper and other garbage floating around in it. To top it off they had a giant piece of plywood with rusty nail sticking out of it to hide the sewage puddle that was actually seeping under the house. I have photos to prove all of us. I immediately messaged the owner to let them know and back-and-forth between very slow responses they told us somebody would be out tomorrow to check it out even though “nobody else complained about sewage smell”. The sewage had been there for a while. The hot tub was unusable we couldn’t even keep the windows open. Because we couldn’t keep the windows open and we really noticed how musty and moldy the house smelled, it was horrible. Once we noticed the toilets weren’t flushing anymore we had to leave late at night. The house was inhabitable. The owner wouldn’t refund us fully even though we did not even spend the night at the house. The owner was very combative and said that if I leave a bad review that they would leave a bad review for me as well, not sure what that means but I’m sure they will reply to this review with something dismissive because that’s all they were to us the entire time was dismissive. The next morning the owner sent me pictures of the sewage being drained and pumped but still told me there was no issue LOL. Think twice before you book this VRBO.

Beds were comfortable and the host was great! Kitchen was well supplied and hottub was a great plus! One reccomendation is to bring some spare blankets if it gets chilly at night as the bed blankets were thin. Grill worked great and overall would go back in a heartbeat!

We just slept there and only used coffee maker and toaster nice place to come back too. Grandkids loved seeing deer in yard.

The house was as described and we had a lovely time there. The layout has two bedrooms and a bath each on either side of the main kitchen/living/dining room. This was great for us since our group was two families with young kids - we each took opposite sides of the house so the kids couldn't wake each other in the middle of the night. Good toys for younger kids. Short walk to the lake where you can swim, fish, play sports or visit the playground (we did all!). The smart tv used an interface we weren't familiar with (Samsung?) and we had some trouble figuring it out. Would recommend bringing your own Roku or similar. The air conditioning is one unit in the main room, so bedrooms can get a little stuffy if you have unseasonably warm weather. Would have liked more screens on doors/windows so we could have enjoyed the fresh air when the weather did cooperate. Host was responsive. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The place was nice we had trouble with ants and a mouse and at one point for over 12 hours had no water the owner moves us to a much better property but we lost a day of activities and things we could have been doing because of no water.

I had an amazing time in the Poconos staying at Luis's place. The host was extremely responsive, helpful & checked in throughout my stay. The place felt extremely clean, was beautifully decorated and was such a nice escape from the city. We used both the fireplace + hot tub and we were so cozy all weekend we felt no need to leave. Definitely would stay again!

Amazing Stay in the Poconos!
I had an amazing time in the Poconos staying at Luis's place. The host was extremely responsive, helpful & checked in throughout my stay. The place felt extremely clean, was beautifully decorated and was such a nice escape from the city. We used both the fireplace + hot tub and we were so cozy all weekend we felt no need to leave. Definitely would stay again!

Great Stay in a Beautiful Home
We had an amazing Thanksgiving for our party of 8. There were more than plenty of beds and the fireplace and hot tub made for a very cozy stay. There were quite a few cooking supplies which was also appreciated.
One thing to note is that you need to check into the community center in order to throw out trash. Because we went during the holiday, they were open only one day with limited hours unbeknownst to us. We were able to solve our issue but just something to note for future.
We would most definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice House and community
Love the place, we had lots of fun. The set up is nice for families with kids. The manager was very responsive to our needs. The beach lake in the community was the best part.

Outstanding Property
This property is just as described, it was beautiful open very spacious. Luis the owner was so responsive if we had any questions. 6 adults stayed comfortable. Hot tub and outdoor grill we used daily! Will for sure use them again!

Quality Family Time in a comfortable home away from home!
We LOVED this property and the owners. Cannot wait to stay again. Fully equipped, clean, comfortable. Just like it looks in the photos. Plenty of space, great wi-fi, kitchen is a joy to cook in. COMFORTABLE BEDS!!!! Quiet street. Great spot!

summer vacay during pandemic
Excellent house to accommodate 6 adults with 2 young children. The house was fully equipped - all you need are some clothes and food to stock the fridge. Plenty of toys and space for our kids to play and roam, the hot tub was a favorite for everyone after a day at the lakes (both in walking distance). We look forward to returning in the future.

Great modern lake house in Poconos
We had a very nice stay at Luis’s house close to Locust lake. The house had a great layout for our two families with Young. kids. We enjoyed the open and spacious living dining area and the beds where big and comfortable for all.
We enjoyed using the BBQ and eating diner on the deck.
We also brought our bikes which made it very easy to get to the beaches.
The owner was very responsive and helpful. We had a great time thank you!

Nice getaway from the city
Property was as described on the listing and it was very easy to communicate with the owner throughout the stay and before. Location of the property was close to two lakes which was nice to walk to and very peaceful. It is also driving distance to a large supermarket where you can get all supplies. we did not use the hot tub however enjoyed the gas grill on most days. It was apparent that the property had been renovated but it is still quite old which was visible in some places.

Hubby’s 29th Birthday
When we first arrived to the home we were blown away. The design of the inside of the home was beautiful. We immediately felt at home. They had everything we needed. Luis the owner was very helpful. The hot tub was so much fun even in 30 degree weather. I would Definitely recommend this home.

Not a good rental for Adults
This house shows well in pictures, but, it is in need of several things. We have rented many houses in the Poconos and never found one that did not have one closet or one coat hanger to hand anything. Good things - good layout, lots of room, good furniture, good linens, good location, wood fireplace. Briefly highlighting the issues below.
- Nowhere to unpack clothes in any bedroom
- broken hot tub cover, difficult to manage
- crooked and sharp edges on bedroom steps
- master fire place not working
- kitchen cabinets full of crumbs
- lacking bar ware/glasses
- individually controlled baseboard heat was difficult to manage
- Was not clear that there was no cable TV and it was Superbowl weekend.
- Dirty ceiling fan
- needs new coffee maker - 30 minutes to brew a pot!!!!

My weekend gateaway
The house was exactly what i saw in photos . The place was spacious and Not to far from Camalback beach were i took my children this weekend . The only thing we’re the ants but you have to remember that your in the woods and the house is furnished in Wood it’s self . Other then that all was well .
