It is old style hotel, which makes the hotel interesting and also waiting for help. Very nice stuff, tasty breakfast, very good location, night quiet. Only positive.

Very nice staff be it at the registration desk or at breakfast, pretty close to cologne city centre, value for money was good, for such a little budget there's not really anything that I would've expected to be different. Reception desk is available 24/7 breakfast times are good, check out very fair (12pm)...would book it again for a trip on which the hotel is really just to have a place to shower, sleep and have breakfast.
I did not feel very safe in the area around the hotel alone at a late hour as a women but that's not the hotels fault. I had a room on the 3rd floor at the end of the hallway which was great because it was mainly quiet. However, the few people that were there I could hear through the door as if they were next to me.
But again - value for money is great.

The included breakfast was handy and the location was within walking distance of most things.
The room didn’t have any fan or air conditioning. There was one window which, when open, hardly
let any air in so it was very hot and stuffy. We had to hold the flush button for the toilet for 30 seconds just to flush toilet paper, we had to use the lobby toilets or public toilets most of the time.
