About this house rental
Escape to your private two bedroom cottage tucked beneath a canopy of trees, where boutique-hotel comfort meets a serene natural setting. This charming hideaway offers the best of both worlds—peaceful seclusion with plenty of ways to play. Spend your mornings lounging by the pool, your afternoons enjoying outdoor games under the shade, and your evenings unwinding in your cozy suite designed for rest and relaxation.
Whether you’re here for a quiet retreat or a fun-filled getaway, this unique space provides a one-of-a-kind experience just minutes from everything Waco has to offer. Located only 15-20 minutes from Baylor University and Magnolia at the Silos in downtown Waco, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy local attractions while returning to the calm of nature at the end of the day. If this cottage is available, then you are in luck because this room is part of a total property listing that includes ALL 20 rooms, and is usually rented out as the whole property for retreats and reunions.
No daily hotel service or breakfast options. Fire pit, patio furniture, pool, and outdoor games are all shared spaces. We do not have natural gas and do not keep the hot tub heated 24/7 to save energy and keep things green. If you would like to request a hot tub reservation, October through April, we can warm it up remotely for a fee of $50 per hour. This fee is optional and and covers the private hot tub reservation, extra power and prep, but is totally worth it for that perfect evening dip under the stars! Feel free to bring your own fire wood (no cedar) to light the fire pit at your convenience.

While we have visited Waco many times this was our first stay at gathering oaks and it will certainly not be our last. We booked a weekend trip to cerebrate two of our kids birthdays and the retreat was a hit. The two bedroom cottage had enough space for our family of 6 to be comfortable. The beds were luxurious and the cottage was clean and so beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed as far as towels, toiletries and kitchen equipment. The outdoor space was the highlight for sure, our older two kids walked the trail several times and saw deer, rabbits, birds and lizards. The ping pong table, putting green, corn hole and connect four were all a hit. And of course the pool was perfect as summer in Texas just never ends. It was a wonderful stay. The hosts were quick to answer questions and our neighbors were all very friendly we even stargazed with some. Just a perfect home base to relax, enjoy family and make some memories.

Clean quiet great Waco option

Husband and I booked a trip to Waco and wanted to stay the night somewhere different/unique. Not too far from town but was so nice to be out in “the country.” This place was perfect! Loved the pool and the games provided out on the lawn. Great stay!
