Cute and comfortable "base camp" for hikes in the Roan Mountain area, including Carvers Gap (3mi away) where I hiked for two days. Views from the porch are gorgeous, especially sunrise. Kitchen is well equipped, and it was great to have a grill with a full tank of gas ready to go. Owners gave me the full rundown on how to get there and made everything super easy. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay on top of Roan Mountain. The cabin was so nice. The views were incredible and we had a great stay. We check in process was seamless as we had great communication with Julie and Brad. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and it was a great stay. I highly recommend this cabin to all.

My mom, who now calls this place "The House in the Sky," and I could not have had a better time. The view from the deck is exquisite, and we love the house's proximity to hiking trails. Moreover, Julie and Brad have the house well-stocked for guests. Did you forget to bring butter? It's in the fridge. Need an extra blanket...or four? Check the closets. The hummingbirds, rabbits, butterflies, and fireflies are abundant here; the peacefulness is palpable. Mom and I hope to stay here again next summer. Thanks! --Casey Lambert-Heath
