Sol Y Mar, a charming second-level private penthouse villa, nestled between a vibrant collection of favorite eateries, bars, branch style bakeries and the lapping turquoise waters of Simpson Bay – the heartbeat of the Dutch side. As the saying goes, “location, location, location” and Sol Y Mar certainly fits that criteria. This 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom top-level penthouse sits directly on Kim Sha Beach and is minutes’ away from Simpson Bay Beach, Mullet Bay and the infamous Sunset Beach Bar. (About 20 stairs to access unit) The spacious living and dining area is tastefully furnished with a Caribbean flair and opens onto the seaside terrace area with private pool. A convenient and open kitchen was made for socialising and features modern appliances. Enjoy breakfast on the seaside patio while taking in the view of the blue waters and tropical palm trees as there are several outdoor spaces from which you can choose from. The penthouse features three individually decorated bedroom suites, each with en-suite bathrooms. This place is amazing we highly recommend it to everyone!!! The location is perfect if you don’t have a car . You are within walking distance of a market and hey take your suitcase to haul your groceries back in that’s what our guys did 😂 There are several restaurants within walking distance, but the best one is right below you at The Greenhouse !! Waiter was Harry was amazing !!!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. Cathy and the IRE team were so communicative and helpful. We took their recommendation for a chef for two nights, which was amazing. The location is walkable and convenient to groceries and many restaurants. It can get loud at night with music from nearby bars/clubs, but otherwise outstanding time here. Thank you IRE!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sol Y Mar was the perfect rental for our vacation. We had 6 adults and 2 children (3 & 1). The unit layout provided everyone with necessary privacy and also allowed us to feel together as a family. The kitchen was well stocked, the location was unbeatable, and the staff was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed Green House Restaurant directly downstairs. Super convenient! We also frequented Buccaneer Beach Bar and enjoyed ourselves. A few things I feel worth mentioning... the noise from outside establishments can get loud (which didn't bother us- we used sound machines to drown it out). We were planning on using the crib for our 1 year old, however we did find the crib to be in poor condition and the mattress was significantly stained. BUT, due to the location and amenities you might not want to leave. Overall this was a fabulous unit. We will 100% never look elsewhere for a rental. This was amazing and we are already looking forward to returning!

I think the best thing about it was the access to the beach bar as well as the restaurant downstairs. Also nice being served food and drink while sitting on the beach. Some sargassum but not too bad. The pool was also nice to have, but in September it gets a little warm and it is quite shallow. I think the only downside is that for some reason housekeeping comes twice a week for at least 7 hours each time. For people like us, that is just not needed. My sister in law was lying down in her bedroom trying to get some rest and the housekeeper went and knocked on her door. Small issue, but still. I don't know if we could have requested less housekeeping or not. Probably our fault for not asking. Besides that small inconvenience, AWESOME!!

Sol y Mar was the perfect place for our vacation to St. Martin! The beach is only 20 steps from the front door, the inside space is huge and the outdoor space with the pool is amazing! The kitchen has all the pots/pans/cups/utensils that you will need and bathrooms are stocked with soap, shampoo, shower gel, etc. and lots of towels for showers as well as numerous beach towels. Maia and Cathy from IRE were extremely helpful before and during our trip. Huge thanks to them. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay at this property!

This was our 3rd time vacationing in St. Martin. Each time we have stayed at a VRBO and this was by far the best place and experience. The communication with IRE Vacation Rentals was amazing from booking, leading up to the trip and during our stay. The location of the condo can't be beat! We love the Buccaneer Beach Bar, so when we found this place next to it, we had to try it and it did not disappoint! Cathy met us at the condo for check in, gave us a tour of the condo and explained everything. Cecilia, the cleaning person, was so sweet and did an amazing job cleaning up the place during our stay. The location is central to everything! We were able to walk to restaurants, the grocery store and catch the bus when we didn't need a taxi to nearby locations. The condo was very clean, beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 6 of us to spread out and even entertain our friends who were staying at a nearby resort. The kitchen was well stocked and IRE provided some staples to get us through until we got to the grocery store, which I thought was a nice touch. The private pool was definitely a refreshing break from the beach. I can't say enough good things about this condo and we are already planning to stay here again during our next trip to the island. Thank you IRE staff for making this such an enjoyable experience.
