Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options for our taste. As we visit a lot of museums and do a lot of sightseeing during the day, breakfast tends to become the most important meal of the day during holidays. The room was decent and clean, with all basic facilities.
If you choose to walk to the hotel, don't listen to Google Maps. The 'mostly flat' syntax is a lie. The hotel is actually uphill, so better take an Uber/Bolt/Lyft/cab if you have heavy luggages with you - at least at the beginning of your staying. After 2 pm the reception desk isn't available anymore, so any check-in process later on would be self made, through the machine at the front door. We asked it for two entrance cards - only one could be provided. Moreover, a city tax had to be paid upfront, by card only, apart from the booking.com already paid price for the room.

We actually had to stay at the end at Hansa Hotel, a partner hotel because of some technical difficulties on Abalon Hotel. We stayed at Hansa Hotel in the past and liked it. Small but very clean, and check-in/-out process is extremely fast. Location is very convenient.
Electric fan was a bit old and not the most efficient against the tremendous heat we had to endure.
TV had no signal and we wanted to watch the matches from the world cup.

The location is good. It's easy to find, get there by public transport, and navigate the area.
The receptionist was friendly, helpful, and efficient. We could store our luggage there after check-out for a final stroll around town.
The bed was comfy. The room was quite spacious.
The breakfast was good.
The halls are freezing. There are balcony doors on each floor, all gaping open, so the moment you step out of the room, you are basically outside. It was so cold we would take our coats to breakfast.
When we arrived, the heating in the room would not start. It was really cold. It took some time for the heating to start, during which we had no idea if we were going to spend the night shivering. We texted the hotel via booking but got no response. Fortunately, it started heating up in an hour or so and slowly the temperature in the room started rising.
The check-in process is weird at best. We got a scammy-looking email a few days prior to arrival and disregarded it because it pointed to an online registration form that asked us to input personal details. We decided we'd simply check in via the reception desk. Turns out the reception closes at 3 pm and should you arrive later, it is self check-in. There is a machine outside that you can use to complete the form and grab your key card. While the process is straightforward, it should have been made clear why the form was requested because it did look like a scam.
In terms of hygiene, it was not properly clean and it looked like it had not been so in a long time. All surfaces were dusty, including desk and wardrobe. There were lots of cobwebs in the bathroom (fortunately, no spiders).
There is a gap between the bathroom door and the glass panelling, so it's not too comfy.
Overall, it wasn't the cosiest of stays.
Note there are stairs around and the streets are steep, so carrying heavy luggage or getting there with reduced mobility might be challenging. However, that's the situation across the town, so wherever you stay, that will be the case.
