This was the perfect house for our family. We rented it to be close to the wedding venue where my daughter got married. I loved how each floor had its own living area. Also had plenty of room to host the wedding party between the rehearsal and the dinner. The views were beautiful on the water and the fish house next door was excellent so we walked over there several times for lunch.

My husband, son and our dog stayed here for a week.
as we drove from NY.
The ride was tiring but once we hit Florida we felt relieved.
First let me mention the best part of our stay.
The dock and view are breathtaking. My husband and son fished off the dock and we all watched the dolphins right before our eyes frolic in the water along with the pelicans, and we actually saw a manatee for the first time right next to the deck feeding on algae.
BTW the restaurant next door has very good food and the catch of the day was amazing! Mahi Mahi , Pompano and Redfish.
So here comes the negatives:
Our first thoughts as we entered the house was that it needed some TLC.
We could both see that there was zero maintenance done on this house.
We noticed upon entering the driveway there was sewer water flowing out of an open pit next to driveway. Needless to say the smell was horrible!
For starters, the first floor, which is a converted 2 car garage has a nasty mildewy smell. The bathroom shower had black mold in the corners and the shower liner was so nasty and dirty I almost couldn't take a shower in there.
But, since the shower on the 2nd floor had no hot water in the shower we were all forced to shower downstairs. I noticed in earlier reviews that other guests complained and the rental agent replied it was fixed BUT EVIDNETLY IT WAS NOT FIXED!
Also there is no hot water in the downstairs bathroom sink. All faucets need to be replaced!
The second floor also has a mildewy spell as at first we didn't smell it because the AC was cranking when we arrived.
So, my next disappointment was the washer on the second floor. No power and would not go on. I called the property manager Pam, who is such a sweetheart. She asked me if I wanted someone to look at it. She also suggested that there was a washer and dryer on the first floor by the pool. I opened the door and it smelled like urine. I requested to have someone look at the washer as I preferred not to have to go down a flight of stairs everyday. Well, needless to say no one ever showed up but I have to mention she did have a death in the family on this day.
The kitchen faucet was so old it swiveled around and the stainless steel sink was gross. The next morning I opened up the pantry closet to find a pan to make eggs. Most of the teflon pans were unhealthy to cook on as they were not clean and had black marks on them.The refrigerator was OK but had yellow deposits of something around the edges of the glass tops.
