The location was excellent at 10min easy walk from the station and despite being so central it was quiet, secluded and peaceful (Town Hall bells notwithstanding!). The property had a lovely calm feel and was pretty and well equipped without feeling cluttered. Trine is a great hostess and very responsive to any messages. The property itself is old (1700s) and super characterful - a rare survivor from a big fire in Copenhagen apparently. This explains the low beamed ceilings! It was genuinely a treat to stay here.
I loved the property personally but in case it makes a difference to anyone I should mention it is up three flights of quite twisty stairs, so prepare to lug if you have a big case/s. The Town Hall bells ring every 15min until midnight and start again at 8am and they are quite loud. Earplugs are provided. The apt is open plan but screening is provided for the double bed. Finally the ceilings are quite low, so it’s probably more comfortable if you aren’t a six footer!

Beautifully furnished and sizeable apartment with all amenities and kitchen utensils, and perfect for our group of 4. We had originally planned for 3 people but then had a last min addition and it was no bother with our host which was much appreciated.
The bells!!! Although it was silent between midnight and 8am…We were provided with ear plugs which I very much recommend to use because it also helps with the noise from outside and next door guests.

The central location was fantastic, but the charm/vibe of the apartment was outstanding.
Everything was exemplary, even the Town Hall bells.

The location is by far the best thing about this flat. It's just a block from the city hall and from the main pedestrian street and it couldn't be more conveniently located for the sights of Copenhagen.
We hadn't understood how very noisy it was going to be. The flat is near a bell tower that goes off very loudly every 15 minutes until midnight. Although the host left ear plugs for us, we still could hear the noise from the bell tower (and also from the loud guests who stayed in the other flat), and this meant that we couldn't sleep. In the end, we gave up and just stayed up until after midnight each night, but this meant we were all exhausted and grumpy. Honestly, if we had understood about the sound levels, we wouldn't have chosen this flat, despite the location.
