We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our fall vacation. The property was beautiful and so comfortable

The house is on a nice quiet cove with very little boat traffic. The kitchen was well-equipped. The property was well described in the listing. There was quite a bit of clutter in closets making them difficult to use without moving stuff. The deck and dock have many splintered boards making footwear necessary. There were plenty of floats, noodles, life jackets to use, and 3 kayaks and a canoe that were easy to access and fun in the cove.. The owner was very responsive when we had issues to resolve.

Our stay at this property was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The views of the lake were beautiful. It's in a quiet little cove on the lake so there is so much peace and privacy. It's a short walk down a shady path to swimming and fishing off of the sunny dock. The kayaks and canoe were a treat to enjoy on the lake. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we all found the beds to be comfortable. The owner was extremely accommodating and responded immediately to messages and questions. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful,Quiet,Relaxing especially on the dock every night by the water. Get your groceries on the way in. A little drive to go back and get groceries. Kitchen counters had to be wiped off when we got there. Little dead ants all over them. Don't leave any open chip bags on counter. Put all food in ziploc bags and any pastries in fridge. Or they will be filled with lots of ants. We found out the hard way. There is ant spray. Once we used that it helped but they were still on counters everyday. Just not as many. Other than that this place is great! Great fishing off of the dock. Had a deer great us on the property one day when we came home from one of our outings. Must go to Big Daddys for seafood and Lancaster Barbeque! We will be back!

The lake view is just breathtaking. We rented the lake house in celebration of our son graduating from high school. This was the perfect get away and location. Janet was a great host and easy to contact with any questions.

Our stay at Janet's home was amazing. Janet is a fantastic host and her home is very well stocked. She was very accommodating and extremely responsive, easily one of the best hosts we have had the pleasure of dealing with. The location is fantastic with good privacy, the water is crystal clear and was great to swim in. The fishing here is also fantastic, my son and I caught several fish and there were tons of bigger fish active in the middle of the channel that we just couldn't get to. There were several pleasant surprises here, that I won't mention specifically, just in case. Only thing I will say is that, just like with many lake rentals, groceries are a little bit of a drive so best to stock up on your way in.... but that is one of the trade offs for such a private location. Overall...... amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Our oldest son lives in Charlotte and our youngest is finishing up college. This was the only opportunity we had to vacation all together and we were able to pull it together in a week. The home and location was amazingly peaceful and beautiful. The home was well stocked with everything we needed and Janet was very easy to communicate with. Fishing was fantastic.

Perfect spot for a quiet get away. Everything you need. Comfortable and clean, nice view of the lake and trees. Owner very easy to communicate with.

We really enjoyed our stay at this little gem. The host has literally thought of everything needed for "glamping". The house is rustic on the outside and nicely decorated on the inside. Everything was clean and the host was very proactive in communicating with us, even offering early and late checkout for us. We spent lots of time canoeing, playing in the water at the dock and the boat ramp, and sitting by the campfire at night. The kids loved it! We plan to rent this house again if we get the chance :)

The owner communication is wonderful. Everything that is listed on the website is 110% true. Exmaple, we have to refill the gas Janet refunded us. Janet the owner has everything covered. The property is beautiful there is great fishing. The neighbors are very quiet we didn't here them at all. The deck is great to sit on and BBQ. The house is 110% clean. I don't know Janet but she is a angel while I was there unexpectedly my little sister passed away and Janet was right there for me 110% talking with me. She even offer us us a free weekend because our vacation wasn't what we expected due to our loss one. Your family would love this location it's great. I have nothing negative say at all. Thank you Janet.

There were a few small things that came up (no firewood for the outside fire pit) The owner was very quick to fix them. The location is very peaceful and we would book here again. Thank you!

three bedroom two bath cabin which is clean and has updated master bath - 2nd bath needs a little updating - master bedroom spacious - other two are perfect to teens and kids. great location on lake arm with fully wooded lot and lake access. cabin deck and dock will need wood deck replacement or reciting as bare feet not recommended. Kitchen updated and clean. fire smoke detector needs to be reinstalled. Perfect for the pricing. Keyless entry simple and secure.

It was accurately described. Well appointed. Appreciated the few extra hours of early check in offered.

I wouldnt say were unsociable,but when im on vacation , I like to be kind of remote. This place had all that with lots of woods and far enough off the road to be quite . The dock was awesome and we caught a variety of fish. Our boys have a renewed interest in fishing again.the inside of the house was very clean and nicely furnished. I would definatly stay again.

Janet is very responsive and friendly. The cottage is just as pictured. The location on the lake is great, very close to a restaurant and a marina. We stayed a full week and brought our boat. The boat dock is nice. We did not use the boat launch as our boat and truck were way too big to back around the house. We recommend using little creek access area as their launch is very close and very well maintained. The closest launch at the landing restaurant is in bad shape and costs $5.

This was a great property! My husband and I stayed here with my three children, however throughout the week we had extended family visit here as well. Everyone enjoyed kayaking, boating, the fire pit, fishing, floats, and the dock. The property was large enough to hold everyone and spread out. Janet was amazing to work with! Any concerns we had, she addressed right away- even from the distance! We left that house with so many happy memories and hope to be back again.

Was just what we were looking for. Owner was very kind to help me with an error I made during process. Will likely rent again next summer.

Very responsive host with quiet cottage on cove of Lake Norman. She was very accommodating to us and we greatly appreciate that. Had issues with internet/t.v. (not the host's fault--the company) if that is important to you. Beautiful spot on the lake.

It was amazing. The location was so perfect for what we needed. The host was incredible! She reached out to me a couple of times to make sure that everything was perfect.

me and some friends planned a trip for fishing Lake Norman and could not be happier with our choice. Great location, secluded from town, clean and very well stocked if you forget anything.

Good place, the house is charming and cozy. The home has lots of wooded areas both in front and in back. Neighbors are close but not too close to be an issue. The home has a wonderful back yard that has great access to lake Norman. It also has a nice sitting area and fire pit which we used everyday. There is plenty of wood to be found amongst the wooded areas fallen and dead or dried up shrubs and trees. During our stay there was construction occuring across the lake that broke the quiet serenity of the mornings, however that is uncontrollable. We did notice that the home although seemingly remote is close to many stores and restaurants within a 10/15 min wonderful drive through winding, hilly rural roads. The owner has been stuck over in the UK for over a year, yet was easily available for communications. There is plenty of linens, the kitchen is comfortable, the living area is ample, the beds comfotable and thebviews out of most windows is relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend this place

Very easy rental process and communication with owner was excellent! Owner was very accessible if needed and responded promptly. The cottage is located in a large, quiet cove on the lake. Very relaxing time.

The property smelled of mildew in certain areas of the house and was overwhelming which affected allergies. House was not that clean as there was cobwebs all over and floors when wiping up water spilled was dirty on the rag. I would not stay here again as the water in master bath would not drain properly and at times would back up. Very disappointed as pictures looked much better than home.
