Nestled in Bristol, this lovely house for $345 per night is a great choice for your next break. Beautiful, newly renovated, tastefully furnished cape house located on the Pemaquid Loop across the street from the ocean. The property is steps away from the rocky coastline and historic Pemaquid Point lighthouse. Stroll the Pemaquid loop road and enjoy views of the open ocean and John’s Bay or pay a visit to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park and explore the rocks and enjoy the crashing surf. The house was renovated in early 2017 with many upgrades including new furniture and appliances. The first floor has a large living room, open concept family room and kitchen with a separate dining room off the family room. The kitchen features granite counter tops, a marble back-splash and all new stainless steel appliances. First floor also includes a half bath and a small laundry room with front loading washer and dryer. The second floor has three bedrooms and a large full bath. Two of the bedrooms contain a queen bed and one bedroom has two twin beds. The house comfortably sleeps six. Views of the ocean and glimpses of the lighthouse can be had from the each of the bedrooms. Within walking distance of the house are two restaurants, a local artist’s gallery and a gift shop. The Fisherman’s Museum and an art gallery displaying local artist’s work is also located at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park. A short 5-minute drive away is Pemaquid Beach (a lovely crescent shaped public beach), the Colonial Pemaquid Historic Site including Fort William Henry and the town of New Harbor. More restaurants, gift shops and galleries can be found here as well as popular local grocery store and an ice cream stand. Seal and Puffin boat excursions and a daily ferry service to Monhegan Island can also be taken from New Harbor. You can also explore the picturesque towns of Damariscotta, Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset, Rockland, Rockport and Camden all within less than an hour’s drive away. Although there is plenty to do in the area you can also simply enjoy the house. You will find books, games, puzzles, and movies and there is a smart TV. If you absolutely must check into the office, there is also high speed internet.

We loved this little cottage which was clean, well stocked with everything needed and fabulously decorated. The only improvement I would suggest is some additional handrails. We would love to return here on future visits.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home. From the beautiful outside to the tasteful and comfortable furnishing inside, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for our week. We started our mornings with coffee in the chairs looking out to the sea. We enjoyed walking on the rocks near the lighthouse, spending time at Pemaquid beach, and exploring nearby towns. Our entire family enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We had been to Pemaquid for shorter stays twice in the past and really love the area. We are Lighthouse and nature buffs so we really enjoyed the setting. This trip I especially wanted a place on the Pemaquid Loop so we could walk along the cliffs and back around the backside of the peninsula . This house is in the perfect location for that. You can see the ocean from the house and a walk of just a few yards will take you to a great view of the lighthouse and Monhegan Island. The lighthouse and the Seagull restaurant and gift shop are just a short walk away. The natural beauty of the area is beyond description. The monarch butterflies were evidently migrating through the area and were everywhere. The house itself is very tastefully decorated and very comfortable for resting and chilling out as well as a home base for excursions to Monhegan Island or other endeavors. Several very good restaurants are located nearby. The kitchen appeared to have brand new appliances. Everything was clean and very nicely appointed. The wifi and tv are very good. We really enjoyed hearing the crashing of the waves and the far off ringing of a bell buoy through the open windows of the bedroom in the evenings and mornings. This has been one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely would like to return.

Comfortable, attractive, well equipped home.
Everything was organized. Linens, soap, kitchen supplies etc in place. Fresh looking furnishings and recently painted. Tiny water views, but 2 minute walk to fabulous view of ocean surf and Pemaquid Light.

Our second year staying in this great house in a great location. We love our Maine vacation destination on Pemaquid Point. Great location for running, walking and biking. House is located a short walk to the rocky coast and Pemaquid lighthouse. The house was recently renovated and tastefully decorated. Owner and property management are very responsive. No regrets. Coastal Wedding
Charming home that is tastefully appointed and decorated. Accurate description in listing, that had everything we needed for our family to gather in comfort for attending daughter's wedding. This home would be a wonderful place for bride to stay to prepare for her coastal wedding, or for guests to stay and enjoy event and the Maine beauty.
Even had a handheld steamer to use for our formal attire!
Neighborhood and ocean proximity were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the rocky coast for walks, solitude, and beauty.
We would return again sometime and do recommend to others.

Wonderful house!
The house was well-equipped and comfortable. Not much direct view, but we could hear the ocean. The only down side is that it lacks a porch. The rooms a decorated on a simple but elegant style. We very much enjoyed the house.

A really beautiful house in a great location
A comfortable house with lovely furnishings, a great kitchen and barbecue in the backyard. The location was quiet and right next to the ocean. No ocean views nor a porch though only minutes to fine views of open sea. Had some difficulties getting information and setting up contract.

very charming home/cottage on Pemaquid peninsula
Someone with major design/decorating chops went thru this house from top to bottom. Every little decorating detail has been thought of. It is charming. And the owners have very kindly and thoughtfully provisioned it with everything (but food) that you need for your stay. Conveniently located just minutes from the ocean and rocks, the Lighthouse, good restaurants, etc, etc. A great place for a family or a group of friends.

Great house in a great location - perfect coastal Maine vacation
The house and location were awesome. From the house it is an easy walk to the rocky coast where we fished, explored tidal pools, swam and visited the Pemaquid light house. Pemaquid loop served as a good place to walk and run at just under a mile per loop. The Pemaquid Penisula offered great biking and kayaking opportunities. The roads were recently paved and motorists are patient with riders making for enjoyable morning road rides. We kayaked in both fresh and salt water but did not even come close to exploring all of the kayaking opportunities. From the house, we did a few road trips to Acadia National Park, Freeport (LL Bean) and Booth Bay. But within the peninsula there were abundant co-ops,galleries and local shops to keep us busy.
The house was perfect for our family. It was recently renovated and in excellent condition. The house is beautifully decorated - there was a lot of attention to detail put into the renovation and decoration of the house. But it was also functional and well equipped. All three bedrooms were upstairs with a full bath. We slept with the windows open and at night we enjoyed the cool breeze, sound of the sea and the buoy bell off in the distance. Downstairs has the kitchen, laundry room, half bath, dining area, a family room with a TV and a sitting room. My teenage daughters were happy to report that the WiFi worked well. There is a one car garage which was convenient for storing our bikes and kayaks when not in use.
Overall, this is a great house in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return again. Highly recommend this house for your coastal Maine vacation..

Grand Slam!
We had a wonderful week in Maine and this house was FAB-U-LOUS!! It was immaculate and had all the comforts of home. It was evident that much thought and care went into the planning and decorating of this home. Beautiful fabrics throughout...nice plush towels and comfortable beds! Nice quiet neighborhood and a great place for walking.
When we are pleased with our accommodations, we like to say we hit a home run......this was a GRAND SLAM!! If we ever get back to Maine, we will go back to this house!

Awesome home in a quiet and peaceful area
If you're looking to get away and leave the world behind, this is the perfect place to stay. The only noises you'll hear are the waves hitting the rocky coast and the Pemaquid buoy bell off in the distance. It was like having a sleep machine that never ended.
This home was everything we expected and more. It was very clean and had all the essentials we needed for our stay. The photos in the description were spot on and did not disappoint. The fast WiFi was a bonus for our teenage daughters. This charming cape house was off the beaten path but close enough to several local stores and restaurants. Be sure to visit the Cupboard Café for breakfast and weigh in on the cinnamon roll or sticky bun debate. Wendy was fast to reply to all our questions and left a great list of suggestions for food and sightseeing. Day trips to Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor were easily done due to the location of this beautiful home.
We would definitely recommend this home to others and can’t wait to return.
