Mrs Vagary is so friendly and kind! Her English is really good and she was very helpful. The beds were really comfy, the room was spacious, the AC and WI-FI were really good. It’s close to Mambo dive centre, restaurants and laundry facilities.

Something to be aware about are the chickens that were very loud in the morning and evenings

The little cottages were so cute and kept so clean. The beds were so comfy and the shower pressure was great. Very handy location and scooter rental was available for a very reasonable price. The hosts even dropped us to the port free of charge at the end of our stay. Would certainly recommend. Close to some nice restaurants as well. Sibarita was our favourite of the stay.

Very clean, new and well located. The staff were amazing helped us with any issue including transport and translating for my friend when she needed the doctor

The hot water and wifi were spotty. Loud sounds possibly from plumbing at night I’d bring earplugs

It is very clean. Staff are amazing and the vibe is quiet. It is across from a cow field and it is nice to wake up to the chickens. Super quaint.

The only thing that could have made this better is if it was right on the beach and if there was hot water in the shower.

Vagary Vibes is run by "Mum and Dad" who were so sweet and welcoming. After booking, the owner emailed us to let us know that "Mum" didn't speak very good English — and her English wasn't perfect but we were able to chat, ask recommendations and hire scooters from her, we had no issues at all :) The rooms are really nice, and well looked after. Very comfortable with a nice bathroom. Exactly as pictured! There are table and chairs on patio areas to sit on outside the rooms which was nice, along with your own table and chairs on the porch of each room. On our last day "Mum" drove us to the port to catch our ferry to Bali which was a lovely of her, and a nice way to say goodbye and thank her for our stay.

The only downside, and this has nothing to do with Vagary Vibes, is that to get anywhere in Nusa Penida you need to rent a scooter, ideally. There are many taxis offering day tours, but when it comes to the evening, places to eat such as Penida Colada (highly recommend) are quite a walk away!

We spent 2 night in Nusa Penida and we enjoy this homestay. Position is good considering that is near the harbor and this is good in relationship with ferry timetable. From here you can rent a scooter, directly by family owner, and move around all the island. Nearby you have many restaurant and warung so you can have a dinner also by walk. The room is a typical Bali cottage, clean and with a good bathroom. The family owner was very kind and welcoming

Owners speak a vary basic English so communication are a little bit limited.
