The property was in a perfect spot to walk to everything on Andy Rosse, including the beach. We loved watching the sunrise right on property and walking down to the beach for the sunset. This was the perfect cabin that had everything we could need. We only wish we stayed longer!

It is on Pine Island Sound, where we can see the sunrise, and a short walk from the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, where we can see the sunset. It is simply but amply furnished, including pots and pans and a coffeemaker, as well as a compact washer-dryer (no dishwasher). There is one king-size bed (we preferred the previous queen-size) and a screen porch. Captiva itself is wonderful, and it's a quick ride across the bridge to Sanibel, with even more beaches and the spectacular Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

I will be back. They are working on the docking area now. I wish the area had white tape rather than yellow, lol. I realize they had ribbon it off for safety. We were delayed in arriving due to very heavy rain, so arrived 4 minutes after 5pm. We didn’t know the location of our unit so were completely drenched trying to find it. When we did, the stench of raw sewer was overwhelming outside and permeated the entire unit. It was very strong and we called the office number (the only number we had) and no-one answered and the message said they were closed. We were hoping that we would be able to move. It was difficult to sleep due to the smell and first thing in the morning we called the office and left a message. It took two hours for someone to show-up and as soon as they did, they agreed to move us. We had to attend a wedding (my wife was in the wedding party) so at this point we didn’t have time to move. As they wanted to get someone into the unit early the next day to fix the problem, we had to move all of our stuff after the wedding - of course we didn’t get back until after midnight and had to deal with that which was not a good end to the night. It was inconvenient and not an pleasant experience at all. We were only there two nights and had to pack and in-pack twice. Although the units were clean, we saw a cockroach and I had one crawl across my foot in the first unit. Also, on a security note, there were several windows in each unit that were not closed all the way and locked shut. I’m sure this is a nice place when it’s dry, but unfortunately we did not have a good time. We expected a lot more for the amount paid. Certainly not worth the rate they are charging + fees etc. We won’t be back.

This was a very cute little cottage with easy access to everything. Only problem was the smell. Very strong sewer smell that was overwhelming. Very pervasive, got on our clothes and made our food taste funny.

We have rented the same cottage for years, and it is just right for us. It is small, but it is all we need. We can stroll down to the Pine Island Sound waterfront to watch the sunrise, then walk one block to the Gulf beach to watch the sunrise. The electric stove is a little clunky, but that is not a serious problem.

We loved our stay here! Super cute place, very clean. They had towels and a hair dryer available. There is also a washer/dryer which was awesome. They have a keurig machine that does both the big coffee pot and just the k cups. The location was perfect! We were able to walk everywhere- the beach, shops, restaurants, and farmers market! My only complaint would be the smell of the cottage- it smelled like rotten fish/ poop. Apparently the property runs on a septic tank so I think that’s what we were smelling. But we will definitely come back for another visit!

The cottages are updated inside, and the setting, with a walkway over to the water, was so peaceful. Reviewer Comments: The unit was cute with nice beachy furnishings, very clean and comfortable and most importantly VERY conveniently located as I didn't have a rental car. It was only about 5-6 minutes walk to the nearby Captiva shopping/restaurant area, the beach and Chadwick's Square shopping at the nearby South Seas Resort. I enjoyed sitting out on the screened porch and also in the chairs overlooking the bay just at the end of the pictured sidewalk.Everything was provided including beach chairs and umbrella. Access to the unit on arrival was a little tricky as they'd recently changed from the lock box but they sent maintenance out immediately to show me how to work the new lock.
