One of the cleanest hostels that I've stayed in. Daily cleaning and mopping of the rooms. Disinfectants and soaps availlble always and very beneficial during this virus saga. The bathrooms are constantly cleaned.
Right in the heart of Chinatown and the entrance to the Chinatown MRT Station is literally by the entrance.
You also get breakfast vouchers along with your stay which can be utilized at two restaurants.
Friendly staff!
Not a complaint but a recommendation... Maybe a small ledge in the smaller bathroom so that we can place our toiletries while taking our shower.

Loved the private loft. It was great space to get a good night's rest after long days exploring the city. The location of Royal Hostel is unbeatable as it's literally at the entrance to Chinatown MRT. I enjoyed the two local cafe within walking distance where breakfast was available with the voucher provided. Air-con was amazing! I also stored my luggage at the sister property on my check-out day.
The downstairs bathrooms and showers were a lot cleaner than the ones upstairs where my room was. A deep clean of the doors is definitely needed. The hostel walls are very thin so if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend earplugs - I always use these in hostels anyway so it really wasn't an issue.

Location, comfortable bed with a little privacy because of the bed curtains
Breakfast is not in the building itself so you have to find them nearby.
