It is in the middle of the forest… a nature delight ❤️❤️ the beach is fantastic
All just fine

The location of Barefoot was exceptional. Radhanagar Beach is a paradise on earth.
The service was great. Timaya at the Front Office went out of his way to make sure we were all comfortable. The resort manager organised a lovely breakfast with birds for us in the forest. Food and drinks at Barefoot were great.
Prathamesh, the naturalist @ Barefoot was excellent. We did an Intertidal Walk with him. We enjoyed that experience throughly.
There needed to be some form of easy communication between the room and the Resort Reception. Like an intercom ;). Having to walk in the night through the forest every time you needed to ask for something from the front office was very inconvenient. Also, the rooms needed to be better lit.

That we did not spend more time!

The setting is perfect, in amongst the tropical forest, but just a short walk to the most beautiful beach we've ever seen.
The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable and the lack of WiFi in the tents was inconvenient.

Amazing property and great staff. Perfect place to unwind and relax.

Super friendly staff. Really nice lodges. Amazing food. Next to the best beach on the island. The dive center is world class.
No gym and the extra activities were nothing special (spa and night walk). But the overall stay was brilliant.
4.0
nice relaxed property on the beautiful Ragnahar beach
the food was terrible, and extremely overpriced.
There are no basic amenities like loungers that you would expect from a hotel of this price point.
Very underwhelming for the price.
No pool, no room service, no wifi in rooms and no beach longers

Good choice of breakfast.
Frequent power outages. Given the amount of sunlight they should consider installing solar power systems. Not sure given the remoteness of the island if there are vendors open to supporting such sales.

Location is great, the service is good. And the room was spacious and comfortable.
Food was average. Breakfast was better than lunch or dinner. Menu is not thought out properly.

Superb overall. Location close to an amazing beach, the Snorkelling in Neil's Cove nearby (but watch out for Stingrays), the eco feel amongst the tall trees and the exceptional and genuinely kind staff. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Breakfasts were very good, but lunches and dinners were expensive. Most vegetables have to be imported and are not fresh anywhere on the island, so just a generic comment in this regard, not restricted to Barefoot. Watch out for the massive mosquitoes after sundown! They come with the territory. :)

BEST MOST AUTHENTIC HOTEL
amazing genuine staff, super sweet super helpful. the location is great! right on the best beach of the island, we spent the first part of our trip at the taj and we didn’t like it at all, it was not personal, bad service etc. so we decided to move to barefoot since it’s close, and we were surprised of how amazing this place is. if you don’t stay there at least try the restaurant, best one on the island
the spa.

All the staff were genuine, smiley, attentive and helpful. My husband Brian has written a detailed review on Trip advisor. In addition to that, we’d also like to thank Mr. Bhaskar for hosting us very well at the restaurant and ensuring even our tea was perfectly to our taste.
Nothing that comes to mind.

Being in the lap of nature and access to the pristine beach.
The wonderful, helpful and warm staff members. Went out of the way to help us.
The food was fantastic and also customised (made without garlic/onion/chillies) for us.
Loved the room (the tented accommodation) and the huge bathroom.
We really relished the silence of the space.
The place was sparkling clean and beautifully designed.
Nothing I can think of!

Excellent access to pristine Radhanagar beach. Upmarket crowd. Private resort where one can relax. Comfortable rooms. Great toiletries
The staff at the reception are a tad unfriendly and seem absolutely focused on reading out the restrictions (cannot do this, cannot do that etc). This is not a resort for senior citizens. The cottages need residents to walk through uneven rocky roads which are unpaved. The management passes of everything including this as keeping things eco-friendly! Neither is this a resort if you are not friendly with nature and creepy crawlies. Food is expensive and ok

The best location on the island, directly on the most beautiful beach, in between a beautiful forest. Very professional and always friendly and accommodating staff. Food selection is also very good.

More details about the activities and guidance around the trip would have been helpful.

The private access to the beach and the way the beach has been kept clean is truly remarkable. Similarly, the lifeguards are sensible and not overly cautious like in some other resorts we have been to. The staff (Hari, Thimmaiah, Sudeshna, and another guy from Hassan whose name I don't recollect) were very friendly, welcoming, took the time to have conversation and had positive vibes.
Negatives - too many, let me try... If you are old and have mobility issues, don't even bother with this resort as you will need to walk a lot and the path is not flat. The rooms don't have TV, phone, wifi, room service, etc. If you need anything you have to walk to the reception. Unless you have BSNL connection, no mobile signal either (forget 3G, not even 2G). If you have an emergency, there is no way of communicating with reception or anyone. I don't understand why a closed loop connection or walkie talkie cannot be provided. The place is pitch black and the pen torches are a joke. Once you are in, you are cut off from the outside world and for some, this maybe ok. The breakfast is extremely austere, a la carte instead of buffet and lunch menu is the same. The timings are also quite bad and you will be expected to forget that you are on a holiday. The mosquito menace is horrendous and for some crazy reason (they insist it's for eco reasons which I find hilarious), they don't have fumigation or mosquito repellent coils or mosquito rackets or table fans. The one ceiling fan in the dining menu is a god send for mosquitoes. Mind you, these are not the town /city mosquitoes and you will be left scratching your skin for three days. The food is way too expensive and not that tasty either. Coming to the beach.... There are no sunbeds, no umbrellas on the beach, no shade between 10 am and 3pm. If you wanted to relax on the beach and read a book, you will be given an umbrella to hold!! But the beach and waters are awesome! No water sports whatsoever. To take a shower after getting out of the sea, you will need to walk a fair bit all the way to the reception. The tents (rooms) are austere and not worthy of the price that we paid. On the whole, this is an extremely overated resort for the food and amenities it provides. The beach and customer service is holding the place up!

exceptional service, sunsets at the beach, surrounded by nature
special kudos to Mr Karthik for guiding us with all the activities
there were loud screeching sounds by some insects at night but it was promptly taken care of by the staff

The property is blended as one with nature.
Proximity to beach.
Insufficient lighting in room and especially in bathroom.

Beautiful eco resort. Loved the tented cottage, so comfortable and romantic. The bathroom was amazing too - loved the shower! Really enjoyed feeling like we were in the rainforest and the beach was absolutely incredible. We can’t wait to come back!!!
Absolutely nothing, it was all fabulous.

Nice cottages/tents in the jungle close to a perfect beach.
We couldn’t buy ferry tickets online with a foreign card and didnt know about how much time I needed after the flight before the ferry. I was hoping a little bit more understanding and help with that. Also was just missing that bit of extra you expect for the price.

everything. Its like you are living in the jungle.
the nails coming out of the floor, in the villa.
9.0
Nestled in a jungle, the property is rustic and very much in tune with the nature around it, the staff were very nice- especially the staff in the restaurant who were very accommodating for our dietary preferences (vegan). The Radhanagar beach just beyond the trees, on the last day when the weather was better was a slice of paradise.
The only light in the tents were from the main door and the lamps, so when spending time in there it felt a little walled in but this is nitpicking. There were so many things to love about then property.
