Exceptional

We loved our stay at Pension Stella! George was a great host and very informative about things to do around the island. The hotel was super clean and in great condition. The location was perfect and very close to Fira.

Very good well maintained hotel

Very homely place to stay. The host lives on the 1st floor whilst the rooms are on the ground floor. So they are always accessible and are very helpful. The hotel is also next to a large supermarket/shop where you can get anything from souvenir's to snacks and drinks. There is also a bus stop within a few minutes walk which has the bus to the airport and sea port. The rooms are spacious and large. Bed was comfortable and everything we needed was in the hotel.

The hotel isn't the most modern in finish but it is well maintained and clean and everything was working and nothing was broken. Could do with a full mirror. Has one mirror in bathroom and one in bedroom but both not full.

Would go there again

Comfy mattress, nice pool, great hosts, supermarket and bus stop nearby, lots of cats. Don't expect luxury, but it is a nice and enjoyable place.

A bit far from Fira to walk, but still manageable.

very happy that I choose this hotel, highly recommanded.

It's a small cute hotel with crystal clear swimming pool. Location is very nice. 2 mins walk to bus stop where you can go to Fira or Kamari beach. Only 15 mins walk to heart of Fira. Good restaurants nearby. Host George and Stella are very very nice, and they are willing to help at anytime. They know what and how to help with the guests.

Love the location, its walking distance to Fira. Both Stella and George are so accommodating and really helpful, lovely couple. Room is clean every day, good size and bed is comfy.

Just wonderful!

We absolutely loved this place! The owners Stella and George are just lovely people who made us feel so welcome. They helped us set up tours and even drove us to the harbor. The location is perfect, just a quick walk from Fira and close to bus stop. The rooms were very clean and the pool was a great refreshment. They also serve a lovely breakfast.

Super-clean, great owners and perfect location

Super-clean place (and room), in a very convenient location. Only a 10 minute walk from the main town of Santorini (Fira) and 200 meters away from the bus stop to the famous beaches of Kamari and Perissa. The owners (Stella and Giorgos) were friendly, always willing to help, and made my stay pleasant and enjoyable. Great value for the money spent.

Great for a short stay, Fira is 10 minutes away, but the location was silent and calm, which I didn't even expect. Lovely staff.

It was pretty humid in the room, clothes seemed a bit wet by just being in the closet.

10/10 for everything, perfect time and stay here with lots of love for the owners! It was perfect.

Amazing little hotel with lots of space. We're staying in Athens for 2 months and decided to visit Santorini during our stay in Greece. This hotel is located perfectly, only about 10 minutes walk into the main tourist area of Thera (Fira) town. The hotel was a comfortable size, with its rooms offering lots of space within... when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the size and cleanliness of the room provided to us! with a lovely little balcony overlooking the pool to the rear. The short walk to the town allows you to check out the shops and restaurants on the way, ensuring you don't miss out of any of the area which is why I recommend this little spot. During out stay we rented a quad bike for 2 days allowing us to cut our journey to and from the town shorter, whist having lots of fun riding the Santorini roads. I can say however, it's not just the hotel we love.. but it's the people who run this beautiful little place. Stella and her husband are amazing and so much fun to talk too. We immediately feel in love with both of them, their happy and positive attitudes made for fun conversation and they were very quick to make sure we had a fantastic stay and experience. I can't rate this hotel high enough, definitely 10/10 for everything and would highly recommend.

Everything was perfect, however sadly the pool is unheated which we learnt was very normal for Santorini...When we went to visit the pool is was freezing cold, and I mean FREEZING.... BUT we still took the opportunity to have a swim, which was again good fun due to the temperature, this made for lots of laughs and smiles! There are plenty of beaches on the island, therefore it wasn't really a problem anyway. The pool area is amazing, and very clean with loungers available. Sadly the sun this time of year never really hit the pool area therefore we did not spend much time here.

George and his wife were extremely helpful and considerate during our short stay. He consulted us about what we could see in Santorini, what to do and how to get there. Food recommendations were also provided 😊

Highly recommended. Great base to explore this spectacular island from.

friendly staff, clean room, good facilities, good value, convenient breakfast option with view. Katerodos close to Fira but less expensive and can park outside hotel instead of walking a long way with bags like at Fira. Small pool good for quick cool splash. Local resturant nearby. Whole island small and very quick to get around anyway wherever you stay.

Highly recommend Pension Stella! Best place in Santorini

I cannot express how happy I am with the hotel! Owners are super nice people, very helpful, kind and loving. We had a room with air condition, fridge (which is great!) always hot water, everything very clean. Our room was cleaned daily with towels changed too. The pool was perfect, very quiet, we had a lovely time relaxing there :) The location of the hotel is the best! With shop next door, open until late, lots of restaurants around and the best bakery called Erotokritos (delicious sandwich for 3euro, coffee 1,80, place with holiday vibe)-all 3 min walk from the hotel. Bus stop also 3 min away and 15 min walk to Thera. We could easily take a bus to the beach or Oia. The owner also picked us up from the airport and drop us off too! Staying in Pension Stella saved us a lot of money as its cheap around in the area, people are nice, kind and we had an amazing time there! We loved it all and we highly recommend!

Nice pension closed to Thira

Nice pension, 1 km far from Thira, in a cosy little village full of churches and windmill. Room was quite large, furniture a little bit old (suggestion: renew it!) but with a nice little balcony where to relax and leave washed clothes. We also enjoyed little swimming pool. Owners were so kind, they also permit us to use the bathroom the last day, after check out, to wash ourselves before landing.

Incredible value with fabulous hosts

The hosts are fantastic as other reviews point out. The place is spotlessly clean and it's best to have a fridge plus access to kitchen facilities. Location ideal for base to going around this island

Only thing that wasn't perfect is it's hard to park rental cars in area around due to business but we only struggled once really

If i had to pay more money for somewhere else other than Stella`s it would of ruined my holiday.

i thought this place was going to be further away from the centre of activity its probably in the best place..its a 15 min walk to the tourist traps of Fira`s cliffs but on that 15 min walk are the best bars like Graffiti, clothes shops, restaurants, supermarkets, hairdressers, lots of takeaways, coffee shops local soccer stadium. Down from Stella`s are more takeaways coffee shops gift shops and more. Stella`s pension is so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor.high ceilings aircon fridge television with one or two english speaking shows a night like "suits"...your room is cleaned everyday like a hotel.

The tourist trap prices of OIA,and FIRA, locals seem to congregate towards Stella`s on that strip of bar`s restaurants its cheaper.
