The lodge was lovely. It had everything that I needed for my two night stay.
Unfortunately, for the owners, the farmer next door has sold his land to developers, so from 8am-5pm, you're next to a working building site. It wasn't a problem for me, as I was out during most of those hours, but if guests plan to stay in, it's something they should be aware of.

The lodge itself was clean and lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the host provided everything that could have been thought about for the space. The host was nice, briefly met as she asked if we needed anything.
The lodge itself was clean, tidy and well looked after inside. However the location was not as advertised. The listing previously showed scenic views but these have been removed, and the property now overlooks an active building site and is right next to a busy road which made it very noisy. We were not informed of this before arrival. It was my first visit to Scotland so I was disappointed on arrival to see it wasn’t in a peaceful and nice place. If you are looking for a peaceful, scenic stay, this is not it right now, it was surrounded by roadworks, building site and off the back of a main road. Would have appreciated a heads up before booking and would like to again say the inside was faultless and the host was no a problem at all. We just would have booked somewhere more rural and peaceful if we were made aware that the surrounding lands were being built on.
