A little gem. A small hotel, very well run. It’s clean and very comfortable. The bed was great. I also had dinner and breakfast there, which were both excellent too. Highly recommend

The hotel was very nice and clean. Room was spacious and bathroom was giant! I really enjoyed the shower as the water came out with a lot of pressure. I appreciated the tea, coffee and biscuits in the room too and beds were super comfy. Excellent breakfast. Great place for a short break. We loved it!

The entrance door is in need of some attention. The room hadn't been cleaned when we entered it, having been told it was ready for us! This was quickly rectified but obviously wasn't a good start! Because we were leaving early to catch the shuttle a packed breakfast was offered and accepted. However, when we came to eat the croissant, choc au pain, etc the expiry dates on the packets were Sept 22 - some 3.5 months out of date - unforgivable!

The hotel is a fantastic quirky old world charm with modern touches. We had a fantastic solid wood 4 poster bed and the room was immaculate

The only grumble I could say is on Sunday morning when we checked out there was no one there to see us go so we could tell them how great they were

The hotel is in a good location with reasonable parking. All areas appeared clean and the staff were very welcoming. The bed was very comfy.

There was a very limited menu for dinner. The bedroom was cold with no real means of heating the room! We were unable to have breakfast because the kitchen hadn't opened!

We were welcomed and very quickly made to feel at home. The room had an old-style elegance and, on a very hot day, felt like a cool refuge. The bed was extremely comfortable and, in both the room and the public areas, everything was immaculate. All the staff were friendly and gave the impression they were there to help and to make our stay comfortable. Our evening meal was excellent. We stayed on a Friday night and there was a function in the large room at the back of the hotel; we had slight concerns that we were in for a lot of noise, but everything was well controlled and peace had descended by the time we switched off the TV at 10.30pm. All in all, a very well-run establishment.

Possibly a wider choice of breakfast cereals (eg muesli) and maybe an offer of yogurt/fresh fruit for those not wanting a cooked breakfast.

The room No.6 was noisy during night. Due to the hot weather we had to keep the window open, and a noisy appliance (air conditioning or similar) on the wall outside was making a lot of noise, really disturbing our sleep.

Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Great location. Short walk from the beach and train stations. Quiet room and comfortable beds.

This hotel was a lovely find & perfectly located to visit Folkestone (which we'd never visited before - wish we had been there longer?) The restaurant was excellent & the staff very friendly & helpful - we will be back!

The lovely lady who served breakfast. The outdoor seating area. The very comfy bed.

There should have been more staff working in the dining room at breakfast as the lovely lady who did serve us was the only member of staff working there. Although it was close to the promenade, it was a little bit further to walk to the town's amenities than we had anticipated. Nevertheless thanks to good weather it was not too difficult.

we were the only guests for the 2 nights. uncomfortable mattress.

Double room was small but made good use of available space with lots of storage. Overall very clean, no complaints. Shower was hot and had good water pressure. Bed was comfortable and sheet and mattress were fresh and clean. Hotel is set back from a not too busy road but had no noise issues from the road, hotel or surrounding neighbourhood. Only a 10 minute walk from Folkestone Central Rail Station making it handy for business travellers or those wanting an early away. Staff were lovely and helpful and deserve a very special shoutout for helping me get back a valuable jacket I had left behind in the wardrobe by accident after I had left!
