It was spacious and clean.
Old, no normal ventilation, lack of personal fridge, very soft beds.

Breakfast was good.
We checked in after walking to the restaurant and going back into the kitchen to find someone to check us in. We dropped our bags in the room and quickly went to the restaurant. We were told we couldn’t be seated as they were “not accepting drop-ins” because they were completely full with people who reserved. This was insulting. We were staying at the hotel, and were not dropping in. No one advised us in advance of the need to reserve. We were told only enough food had been ordered for those who reserved. Provisions are not brought in for guests of the hotel? We were told we could go to a pizzeria up the road. This was not a good suggestion after we anticipated a nice dinner in the restaurant. We got recommendations at the desk for restaurants and drove in to town. When we returned, the metal screen had been pulled down, there was no one at the desk. This added to the sense of not being welcome. Best Western hotels should be able to provide a presence at Reception, as it is called.

Good room, good bed. I liked the lounge with fridge, coffeemaker etc.
The Restaurant diner was not very good. The reception was many times unavailable, the outside lounge couches did not always have cushions.
