La cabane au fond du jardin ! on peut être réservé au départ par le mot cabane , mais c'est un vrai chalet en bois , au fond d'une cour de verdure , un havre de paix en pleine ville. Très bien équipé , propre ,organisé , plein de détails utiles et sympa un accès direct individuel sécurisé, parking facile dans la rue ou parking privé sécurisé payant dans la résidence en face. une terrasse couverte qui donne sur la verdure et les oiseaux , des chats discrets qui vous observent. un parc publique sur le chemin d'une très bonne boulangerie patisserie de quartier tranquille. Une station de tram à proximité qui vous emmène au coeur de la ville rapidement. Et pour couronner le tout , une hôte gentille , disponible ,prévenante qui vous renseigne efficacement . Très belle découverte à Bordeaux

Que tuviera aire acondicionado, fuimos con mas de 40 grados y nos salvo. También tenía todo lo necesario en la cocina y muy nuevo. Deja artículos de aseo, papel higiénico, de cocina, café, mantequilla y Mermelada, todo de agradecer. La ubicación a media hora andado del centro y con tranvías y autobuses cerca

Era mas pequeño de lo esperado para 4 personas, se duerme en el salón con una cortina de separación. No pudimos utilizar el pequeño porche porque había gran cantidad de insectos.

The chalet is ok inside (in terms of size, furnishings, accessories, decor and cleanliness). It could potentially be pleasant enough in summer - but see below.

Other reviewers of this place describe a “friendly” and “helpful” host and a “charming” and “comfortable” chalet. Unfortunately this was not my experience. I have tried to raise my concerns privately with the host since checking out but have got nowhere, so with regret (as I normally only submit positive reviews) I'm recording them here. The chalet is in the small back yard of a small house in an undistinguished inner urban suburb of Bordeaux. When I arrived the house was completely dark, had no sign of life and was clearly unoccupied. The front door glass was broken and patched up with packing tape. The front yard was full of rubbish and weeds. The whole place looked abandoned. The route to the chalet is by way of a covered alley at the side of the house, access to which is 'controlled' (after a fashion) by a flimsy combination lock fitted to the side gate. The host had supplied the lock combination, but no other information at all about accessing or using the chalet. They knew I was a solo female traveller, and that I would probably be arriving after dark, yet it didn’t occur to them (or they didn’t bother) to supply basic information such as where I would find light switches to illuminate the way to the chalet. Once through the gate, therefore, I had to feel my way in the dark through the covered alley and across a muddy patch of grass to the chalet at the rear (I had to use my phone torch to find it). The cabin itself was extremely cold, and again the host hadn’t bothered to supply instructions as to how to heat it. The first evening I had to wear my overcoat and boots inside to get warm. Generally the chalet felt uninviting and not particularly safe. The main house remained empty and unlit during my stay, the host never appeared at any stage, and their replies to my questions and concerns - though quick - were all perfunctory and delivered with an air of complete insouciance.
