Excellent. It was a real joy to stay at Kerrigans Cottage, and John is a wonderful, thoughtful host.

The host, the location, the cottage, how clean and comfortable it was, the nice touches.

Second bedroom mattress too soft for a bad back.

Exceptional

The house was super clean, warm, cozy, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. John the owner was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come and stay at this place in the future.

Superb

Very well equipped, and appointed. Nice quiet location. Well positioned to see the geographical North of Ireland.

Difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature inside. Was very hot most of the time. Made the mistake of lighting the fire for ambience and nearly cooked ourselves.

A perfect stay at this beautiful, cosy and clean cottage!

Just returned home from a wonderful family stay at this beautiful country cottage. John met us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. There was an issue with the tv & Wi-Fi but John got this sorted very quickly for us. The cottage is spotless and I couldn’t fault anything about this place. The views are also amazing and a wee bonus the weather was lovely during our stay. Thanks again John we will look forward to returning again in the future.

Beautiful, cosy cottage in tranquil, rural location

Clean and cosy cottage with all the mod-cons. Three of us stayed (including a baby). It was perfect for a good night's sleep. The host has really put some thought into the furnishings and decor because I couldn't fault it. So glad we chose Kerrigan's instead of a hotel. We had the best nights sleeps we've had in years. Scenery out the back is georgeous. Parked right outside the cottage. Used the washing machine and tumble dryer. Very handy, especially with a baby. Can't wait to return.

cosy, comfy and very homely

exceptionally kitted out kitchen .. scones butter jam and milk on arrival.. very thoughtful.. turk and wood baskets full for the fire.. very warm with oil heating and the stove.. lovely countryside

it was clean but we felt it could do with a deeper clean as it’s an old cottage so it lends itself to dampness and deeper cleaning more often .. having said that it was normal clean and very well laid out ..

Lovely cottage ...

Very clean house, beds were extremely comfortable , everything you needed was in the house including washing machine and dryer.. John was extremely helpful and went out of his way to accommodate our family.. house was lovely and warm during the cold weather and the views are beautiful from the location. Definitely will book again..

Exceptional

A beautiful traditional Irish cottage even down to the scullery, Tastefully decorated throughout with large comfortable beds. Fabulous views from the patio towards the surrounding mountains. A truly peaceful place. Our host John was on hand to show us how everything worked and we really appreciated the fresh scones and milk he left for us.

Everything was perfect for us.

We liked the layout of the cottage and the fact that it has been renovated in keeping with a traditional Irish cottage.

Quiet, rustic cottage with beautiful view - equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break

It was absolutely the rustic cottage I asked for: loved the bedrooms, the open fire and the fact it came with a washing machine and dryer. It had everything we needed. Plenty of place to park, lovely view of the hills, quiet location.

I know technically the toaster works, but perhaps putting a note on/near devices would be helpful - so we know how to navigate the quirks when we try and use them. Again, few quirks on getting TV and DVD player to work. Appreciate the instructions are in the manual. Wasn't sure where to put rubbish?

Charming cottage in idyllic country setting

Beautiful country cottage, well organised with everything you would need. Location is very peaceful, fabulous views, surrounded by lovely countryside. John the Host was very attentive and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely loved it beautiful country walks. Lots of information about area. Ballybofey 10k everything you need there aldi and lidl restaurants. Amazing beaches a drive away we had a ball and definitely will be back. John was lovely to deal with.

Highly recommended

Excellent cottage and great value for money. Location is very quiet with great views although it might be a bit isolated for some. Ideal though for someone who wants a quiet relaxing stay and switch off. Cottage is clean has very good facilities and all necessary kitchen needs. if you need it there is oil fired central heating and a stove. Owner is very courteous and will meet you on your arrival.

Beautiful place

Kerrigans cottage was stunning spotless. It had everything you could imagine. Bed was very comfotable.You can find anything what you need it washing Machine, dryer, books even DVd's with many movies( few for kids as well)our son couldnt stop watching BABY BOSS😂Views and location out of this World. Absolutely Perfect place for Family travelling with pets . We enjoyed every minute of our holiday The host John very nice and helpful. We hope to return asap. Thank you John

A great place to get away to and an exceptional place to explore Donegal.

Kerrigan's Cottage is an excellent facility for travelers wishing to get to know Donegal. It is a central location in the county not far from Ballybofey/Stranorlar. Any facilities required by someone staying for a short time are available and it is within easy reach of many attractions in Donegal and over the border. In the course of a week, we did Inishowen, Fanad Point, Glenveagh National Park, Ardara, Rosnowlagh, Bundoran and Bellek, Co Fermanagh. It is off the beaten track, which adds to its charm. The host, John Farley, could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The notes for visitors he left in the cottage were brilliant.
