We liked that the hotel maintained the history of the place, and the proximity of the hotel to the beach. There are plenty of facilities to use like a fitness center, swimming pool, barbecue grills, etc. The staff are also very helpful and cordial. We also loved the lot of freebies for tourists that they give. The hotel manual in the room was also very helpful. Parking is free too! The view is also amazing!
Even though the history of the actual hotel was maintained, the actual room we stayed in may have been a later built building, and could be a shared ownership with another person/family as there are private things in the room. What we really did not like was that we had to pay extra for towels and linens, which is uncommon for a hotel. As mentioned that the room may have been a shared ownership, and it had personal things, we were bummed to see nespresso capsules and not be able to use them.

The hotel is view steps from the beach, so great for a walk even if the weather is not too great (which was our case). Make sure you bring your bedding if you don't wanna pay extra money for it. But the property sent us a message about it, so we were ready, no surprise there.

Old historical hotel, located close to Hirtshals and on the way to Skagen. Nice personnel at the reception, easy night check-in.
Bathroom severely needs renovation. There were no beds in the room we booked, we haven’t noticed it and it’s our own problem. Sofas were a torture to sleep on for two persons, were way too stiff and too narrow. Even kids didn’t like it
