The location in the heart of the old city.
The room and the bathroom is spacious
The authentic feel and original character of the building.
We liked the gentle sounds coming from La Tupina every night
By contrast to the overall size there was virtually no space to hang up our clothes. The fridge was not properly mounted.
To a lesser degree the TV stations did not work on the TV. A litter bin would be nice to have in the room
The noise from the nearby Assonance festival was mildly annoying, but the shutters provided enough accoustic insulation

The location was perfect!!! The rooms were really a generous size for Europe. They were wonderful about helping with reservations and where to eat in the area. I loved the ease of check in and check out being contactless.

The high ceilings and decor were wonderful, a touch of luxe. First floor was handy and appreciated with my luggage.
There are some dodgy people hanging about in some of the nearby streets at night which felt uncountable as I am a woman travelling solo. But there are alternative ways to get there. This is the case throughout Bordeaux though… It’s good to be aware of this if travelling solo.
