Just the most lovely house with beautiful surroundings. Wonderful hosts too. We were made to feel very comfortable and nothing was too much effort. Rex the horse and the beautiful bunny filled view from the bedroom window kept my children very happy and the peaceful surroundings as well as the short, easy walk to the local village meant my nan was able to enjoy the trip too. A genuinely lovely stay and we look forward to coming again.

Everything met our needs and exceeded our expectations, we are farming people and live in old houses:::: so all of any negatives made about paint or wonderful patina of the cottage you have booked; rattling pipes, steep stairs, we loved every inch of it and felt home from home only warmer ! The parkland drive and easy walk back from hadleigh high street was an extra bonus… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The welcome pack of milk, eggs and butter was appreciated. Location was excellent. Peaceful and located a 10-15 min walk from the village The cottage was well equipped The bedrooms and sitting room were comfortable and clean

The kitchen need some serious tlc. The kitchen fridge was missing some shelves, making it awkward to store what we wanted. Fortunately, there was a fridge/freezer in an adjacent pantry. The windows throughout the property looked like they had not been cleaned for a while. The external hedge(?) outside the rear kitchen window made the kitchen very dull. If it were cut back and coupled with a thorough window clean it would defintely brighten up the kitchen. Although there was outside garden furniture, none of it was in a state to use.

The location and the cottage is beautiful. The 15 minute walk to the town is really nice with lots of wildlife around you. Eggs, butter, milk and bread left were a nice touch.

Possibly needs a little tlc and some maintenance throughout the cottage but nothing major and it certainly didn't spoil our visit.

Property needs some maintenance and tlc in places but is otherwise well equipped, some issues with pre-stay communication but this seems to have been an issue with booking.com messaging (?)

The location was lovely and the cottage was very clean and warm. It was great to have milk, bread etc when we arrived. The gardens and grounds are beautiful full of birdsong and wildlife .

The cottage has very steep stairs which my parents found a real challenge. I have since found the cottage on Sykes website where it does say that the stairs are steep. Why wasn't this information on Booking.com too. The cottage also clearly needs some tlc.

Very well appointed with everything you could need. Very clean and beautiful grounds and a lovely log burner.

Broken shower head, otherwise great facilities.
