Excellent breakfast lovely choice

Everything was perfect

Breakfast was very good and served excellently. Generally a good base for the local sights and lakes. The overall stay was good and relaxing.

The bathroom was a little small with a sliding door.

A lovely, warm welcome. Friendly helpful advice about where to go to eat, where to to walk etcetera. Some lovely touches with the warm mince pies on arrival and the chocolates when leaving… and nothing was too much trouble for Karen and Tim. The whole guest house just exuded an air of charm and relaxation. The decor was stunning! The food was 11 out of 10 too. Looking forward to a return visit to see what you’ve done with next door!

Great location, with fantastic views of the fells. Cracking breakfast and friendly hosts. Suggested walks and local visitor attractions came in very handy. Highly recommended!

Friendly hosts, lovely place to stay beautiful scenery

The accomedation exceeded expectations. The room and the facilities were perfect, really can't fault anything (didn't realise there was room service included). On top of that, the property owners are a cherry on top who were the most accomedating and welcoming and made the stay even more special. I also have to mention the beautiful breakfast that was included, fresh and tasty with good options, I had mine outside on the terrace every morning, which was a perfect way to start the day. Most accomedating stay by far!

Maybe just a bit too quiet. I was out till late pretty much evernight, exploring and watching sunsets, and left bad for coming in late as sounded like everyone was already asleep and felt like I might be bothering everyone, but that just might be me.

Excellent hosts nothing no trouble to them.

The owners are lovely, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was among the best we’ve had. It was a great way to spend our wedding anniversary.

Relaxed atmosphere and the host Tim and Karen were brilliant. I've traveled all over the world with business and pleasure for 30 years and I would rate it in my top five. Very informative couple and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and hats off to Tim.

After searching tirelessly to find a suitable place to stay within the Lakes we settled on Lakeside Country Guest House and boy we were not disappointed! The house is absolutely stunning, immaculately kept and so welcoming and homely. Our room was beautiful, had everything we needed and was incredibly well presented. The location was great for exploring and within walking distance of a lovely pub that serves excellent food. Bassenthwaite Lake is literally on your doorstep along with the Lakes Distillery (we would highly recommend the tour £18pp Inc tasting). Breakfast was absolutely delicious! Again nothing negative to say about this, so many options to choose from, huge vegetarian menu and all made with locally sourced produce. Karen and Tim were incredible hosts, we will most definitely be back! Thank you so much to you both! If you are thinking about booking, do not think just book as you will not be disappointed.

A beautiful house situated near Keswick. The room and en suite was spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Glorious view from the bedroom and dining room. A good choice of food at breakfast, well presented and very tasty. Excellent hosts. Would highly recommend a stay at this guest house. Will definitely stay again if we visit the Lakes.

Karen and Tim are exceptional hosts, making the three of us very welcome. Their friendliness was infectious. The Guest House is extremely comfortable - I'm still thinking about the extreme comfort of the beds - and has a stunning setting. Breakfast on the terrace - shared with the tame robin - was a delight.
