Hotel is in Slubice, which is just across the border from Frankfurt an der Oder in Germany. Neither place could be described as a tourist trap, though it is a lot cheaper than the German side but has few facilities. It's also a good staging post if you're touring the area.
The hotel is what you would expect, perfectly OK with few frills.
The town itself is no great shakes. I had a meal that night that was heavily mediocre and while there are some more up-market restaurants, the only bar I could find was at the lower end of the scale (though VERY cheap).

Hotel Anka is een aanrader als je naar Frankfurt an der Oder reist. Aan de andere kant van de brug, aan de Poolse kant. Authentiek, charmant, vriendelijk.
er is geen airco maar de radiator op de kamer maakt dat goed.

Location is really good, the staff helpful and nice. Breakfast portions are huge. It's an ok place for a stop over in Slubice
Well, the design is totally outdated, the carpet in the room is simply ugly and not inviting. The mattresses on the beds have seen better days - should be replaced.
