The location was perfect as only a three minute walk from the bus station and yet in such a quiet street with a wonderful restaurant close by and on the edge of one of the most beautiful old towns I have ever come across on my travels around the world

All was perfect

Nico is a very friendly, warm young man. Very enthusiastic about Casa Valentina. Which is situated on the edge of the old town. The port area is about 25 mins. walk. To get to Arenal you can get a bus for 1.50 euros each. I think we had the best room. It was spacious and well equipped. Air-con worked well and was reasonably quiet. The bed was big and very comfortable. The linen and towels were changed frequently. We stayed three weeks and enjoyed every day. The bus station is close and it is a short drive to Gata de gargas, where the rail station is, with trains to Alicante and Denia(track not quite finished to Denia). The journey down to Benidorm was spectacular and only 4.80 euros each, return, from Gata. There is a lovely bar at the end of the street (100 metres)

The kitchen facilities coould have been a little more comprehensive. However Nico did provide the things that weren't there. The kitchen is shared between the 5 rooms. It would have been interesting if all five occupants, wanted the kitchen at the same time.

The views from the balcony were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the memory foam mattress and pillow although my partner would’ve preferred them to be softer. Both room, terrace and bathroom had most of the basic needs. The aircon system was well welcomed to sleep at night.

The bathroom was a bit small for a long stay. There was no sink space where to put toothbrushes and toothpaste, it could’ve done with a toothbrush holder on the wall. The bedroom was rather minimalist, could’ve done with a chest of drawers. I missed reading before bed since there were no lamps and it was either no light or the main bright light. Given that we stayed for a whole week and I am a female I inevitably shed a nice amount of hair, plus the sand we carried back to the house on our sandals. It would’ve been great to have had a broom at hand.

The room was large and air conditioned. We had a balcony with a sea view and a shared kitchen. The room was cleaned every day and always spotless. Nico was very welcoming and easy to contact. We really enjoyed our stay.

it was a bit pricey for us, but I guess it is because in July prices are high. we will try again out of season

The owner goes out of his way to help the guests. Nice place, clean room, beautiful view, good WIFI.

The location is great and allows to reach everything around very easily. Nico is a very good host which always helps and gives good recommendations for the surroundings (we did a nice hike which he recommended). The room was always very clean and made from good material (especially the windows). We slept very well!

only small: Within the building it is not so well sound-proofed, one can hear the doors of the other guests very well. The common kitchen (which got all you need) could be refurnished a bit or kept cleaner (machines, dishes etc).

Really stunning views, well connected location and comfortable/ spacious room. The owner Nico was incredibly helpful and very accommodating during the entire stay.

I booked a room for my friend in Casa Valentina. She said it was her best stay among her accomodations in that region of Spain. The staff member was very nice to her. He made her feel very comfortable in the house. When she lost the key, the staff came back immediately to open the house for her. She loved her stay there
