I have made yearly trips around the country with my family (4 adults, 7 children) for the past 10 years. This house is easily one of the best we have every stayed at. The house was clean and as described. The kitchen was functional and well stocked. The pool table and theatre were well maintained and easy to use. The pool was refreshing. The views were gorgeous. If you are looking to stay in the Bay Area, get this house.

Fantastic property for a getaway if you have a large family or multiple couples. Amazing view, pool & spa, large dining room, luxury kitchen. It's a bit remote but once you get there, it is amazing. Great communication with Matt, the owner, and with Jay, the property manager. I would highly recommend it.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with family and the place was perfect. Lovely kitchen with all the amenities to make our feast. The place has a spectacular view that is best enjoyed from the infinity pool. Looking forward to my next stay.

Everything about this house is incredible. Rustic, yet hip and modern. Very tastefully designed and decorated with comfortable furnishings for lounging, visiting and enjoying the gorgeous view from the pool. The pool makes you feel like you are at a resort, and the outdoor eating area is perfect. Our family held "yoga" classes on the lawn every morning, and enjoyed movies in the awesome home theater every night. It was great fun for all of us – including young adults and our elderly mom. We hope to return soon if Matt and Jay will have us 😁!

This house and lot are very unique. My family and I love to travel and really wanted a nice quiet getaway prior to our daughter going back to school. This house was absolutely perfect. The property agent and owner were very accommodating and welcoming. Close enough to beaches, restaurants and winery’s to soak up the Santa Cruz experience but when your in the pool watching the family of deer strolling by around 5pm every night you realize what a special property it is. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next stay.

Our family enjoyed every moment together at this gorgeous villa. Everyone, from grandparents to teenage grandkids, had fun swimming in the infinity pool, relaxing in the hot tub, playing games on the lawn, challenging each other to a game of pool, watching movies in the home theater, cooking, dining together outdoors, and simply sitting outside watching birds, sailboats on the bay, and stars in the sky. The house is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and really comfortable for a large group. We took advantage of the location to visit a local winery, downtown Santa Cruz, and the Beach Boardwalk. The property manager Jay was extremely responsive and helpful and we enjoyed a warm welcome from the owner Matt.

Our group of 9 were speechless the whole stay it seemed. This Villa was better than we imagined. We thought we'd be going to the beach and into town etc. but we stayed on the property the entire. time and were thoroughly entertained. The owner Matt is a gem of man - not just a good manager but good person. He was so helpful, we almost invited him to dinner! Anyway, this was a retreat me and my friends will never forget.

This villa is gorgeous and perfect for a getaway of family or friends. The manager Jay was extremely helpful. It was exactly what we wanted and we had a wonderful time.

My family and I stayed at this stunning home for my 60th birthday celebration. We were able to communicate easily with both the host and owner, who checked us into the property. We would highly recommend this home - it was beautifully appointed and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the home theater. It's a very convenient location and only a 10 minute drive to a grocery store. We also took a day trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium which was only 40 minutes away. If you're looking for a secluded place with a stunning view to enjoy with your family or friends, this is the place!

Recommendations for both chef and massage therapist were top-notch, and we benefited from both. We watched a few different movies in the amazing theater, and it definitely felt like being at a movie theater. Close proximity (10 mins.) to grocery (Safeway) was really convenient. Thanks for a fantastic stay and appreciate all the attention to detail at this fine property!

Hidden Villa is the best among VRBO properties we’ve stayed at. From the layout of living spaces and details of decorations, it is obvious the owner had put a lot of heart into designing, building and maintaining the house. All bedrooms are well appointed and have en-suite bathrooms. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The 8-seat home theater have professional quality sound and screens (as an imaging engineer, I especially appreciate the excellent image quality of the projection system), as well as is its own bathroom. The view from the house and from the outdoor spa are spatacular. On a sunny day I highly recommend having lunch out on the very spacious patio. The owners provided outdoor heaters so it’s quite comfortable eating out even during our December visit. Matt (the owner) checked us in and he was exceptionally kind and hospitable. Jay the property manager was helpful all the way, always answering questions promptly before, during, and after our trip. We would definitely come back for the next family reunion.

The pictures don't do this place justice. The home is magnificent and great for a group that needs 5 bedrooms, each with their own bath. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful visit to Soquel with a few families. This was a beautiful home perched above Santa Cruz and served as a great focus for our long weekend. Plenty of amenities to enjoy on property (theater, pool, kitchen). Jay was super responsive and had wonderful recommendations for a both a private chef and in-home massage therapist. It’s probably best for adults, as the home has a lot of small stairs and hard floors. It was a great retreat from Covid to visit with friends we hadn’t seen in too long. Highly recommended!

If you think the pictures of the house are beautiful, you are definitely going to be wow’d in person: This house is GORGEOUS. It is very well maintained and has everything you need. You really do not need to leave the house. We were a party of 9 adults: 5 women and 4 men. While the women went wine tasting on one day, the men decided to stay in and enjoy the amenities of the house. There was plenty of space for us to congregate as a group or enjoy our own personal time/space. Jay was so easy to work with: he responded promptly to all of my questions and made several recommendations for restaurants and wineries. He was even in on the birthday surprise for my mother which was so special and truly appreciated. He also checked in with us while we were there. If you have a chance, please hire Tana from Salt and Stone Catering (also recommended by Jay) as the personal chef. You will not be disappointed. While I agree with the other comments regarding the road to the house a) take your time b) it’s only for a few minutes and c) once you arrive and see the house, you forget about it. I cannot say enough about our stay: Everything was 5 Stars from the house to the service provided by Jay. Our guests (myself included) are still raving about their stay. We are already planning a trip for next year.

This property was amazing in every way! The whole family--young and old--loved every minute we were there. Mornings were for excursions, afternoons for the pool and hot tub, evenings for movies in the theatre. Jay was incredibly responsive from start to finish, and made sure we had everything we needed. Can't recommend highly enough!
