Incredibly friendly owner and because of its small size, you get to interact with very interesting guests and have great chats whilst looking out at the trains pass by right beside you on the platform. A really incredible place to stay and unique!
I'm a big train fanatic and this place is truly idyllic. Stay before the Shinkansen comes! :)

Train platform right outside guesthouse, host is very friendly and sweet, he can provide meals if you request (I didn’t have the chance to), cozy atmosphere
Found a few live stink bugs including one that fell on me, shopping needs to be done at Kutchan as there’s no restaurants or shops by the guesthouse, infrequent public transit
