We were utterly amazed by the quality of our experience at this VRBO. The host is so attentive to every detail and is so available if anything goes wrong. His digital guidebook to Porto, which he personally prepared just for his guests, was very helpful. There were six of us -- three couples -- and it was spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautiful. We walked most everywhere, didn't need a car. We were sad to leave!

Fernando is a wonderful host. Very organized and excellent communication. Home is very clean and well stocked. Close to metro, bakeries & cafes. I highly recommend this rental. It was PERFECT for our group of 4 adult couples.

We had three couples stay at this house recently for our time in Porto. We were impressed from the moment we walked in and met Fernando. He was very welcoming an it was obvious from the start that he took great pride in his house and wanted us to have a great stay. The house was immaculately clean and had all of the essentials we needed. Fernando put together a detailed digital guide book that had links to maps and directions and was very comprehensive. He took the time to show us this guide during our initial meeting and it was the most detailed and informative briefings we have ever had. The house is centrally located and while we had a van since we had stayed in several areas of Portugal, we never drove it after we parked. Parking is 20 euro a day at his neighbors garage around the corner, which is a nice option to have since street parking would be difficult. The outdoor patio was nice and the beds were comfortable and the house was quiet, despite being on a busy street. Our only regret is we did not have longer to stay here. If we ever return to Porto, we would stay at Fernando’s house again!

The property is great but first and foremost, Fernando was an amazing host and that is our #1 priority when we travel. Fernando met us at the guest house when we arrived- he gave us a tour of the house and provided us with all the detail to make our stay as great as it was. Since we had a busy travel day, he gave us a great recommendation to grab a quick and inexpensive meal right next door. He created a personalized digital “Guidebook” which became our personal Porto tour guide, it was detailed, linked Google Maps which made getting around easy, provided some great sightseeing/dining experiences and on top of that it was super easy to use. These are the little things that sets Fernando above most other hosts. The property is exactly as advertised; large rooms, private bedrooms with amazing showers, comfy beds (pillows could of been a bit softer but that is a personal preference) very clean and we loved the outdoor area which was great for having drinks and playing cards after a great day in Porto. I would highly recommend this home and when we return to Porto, this will be where we stay. Thank you for everything Fernando!

Always available to help with driver and restaurant reservations, great places to eat and all the must see spots. Highly recommend this property. The guesthouse was amazing. Clean & very well equipped. Our host Fernando was present to welcome us & gave us an excellent overview of the Porto region. We will definitely return to 22 Oporto very soon.

This was perfect for hour needs. We had two teens and my parents so everyone had their own room and bathroom! This was key and made for a very comfortable two days in Porto. Fernando was an outstanding host who met us at the guest house when we arrived- he gave us a tour and recommended a place to grab a quick and inexpensive meal- it was outstanding and a fun family style option. Fernando also saved the day when we realized we needed to print our train tickets! He was very kind and brought them to us when we were checking out. Fantastic stay!! Thanks so much Fernando!!

I cannot say enough about how perfect this stay was for us. First, the owner, Fernando, is fantastic. He goes above and beyond to make his guests feel welcome and comfortable. Fernando personally greeted us and helped us get acclimated. He also provided a self made web-based tour guide with everything you can think of including maps, restaurants, tours and more. You can tell this is more than simply a rental to him and that he really cares about his property and the people staying there. The property was formerly run more like a bed and breakfast style hotel, but reimagined as a large 4 bedroom home perfect for 4 couples, larger family or group. Each room is well appointed with its own private bathroom with excellent showers and the best towels that just smack of luxury. We were a group of 3 couples and we were all very happy with this location and stay. The main river walk area is a 20+ minute walk or can be easily accessed by a quick and cheap Uber ride. There are plenty of cafes, shops and grocery within just a few steps making the stay quite nice. Fernando provides excellent communication and is really helpful and caring. As an example, we hit a snag with the transportation strike going on which led to our scheduled train back to Lisbon being cancelled. Fernando was very helpful in helping us find alternate travel options and we made it back. Of all the properties we stayed throughout Portugal on our travels, this one stands far above all the rest for many reasons. Best!

Very roomy accommodations‼️ Very clean, beds, very comfortable. Fernando was an excellent host. Everything was in tiptop shape. Very easy to walk down to the center of Porto. Market, restaurants, laundry, mat all very close within walking distance. We also rented a car last minute, and Fernando was great in securing a garage for us at a very reasonable rate . Apartment was in a very nice location. We traveled to Porto( myself, husband & young adult daughters) We loved Porto. And as always, not enough time to visit all the beautiful sites. I highly recommend staying here.

Fernando is a great host and has created a useful online "guide" for his guests. The house has everything one would need--including parking in the next door garage. Easy to get to from other locations in Portugal.

Large flat, 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms, big enough for our two families of four. Very clean. Across the street from a bus stop and a 12 minute walk to the metro. Great restaurant right across the street, Nuovo Mondo; my Roman friend says it is her favorite pizza in the city. Air conditioning works great. Beds are very comfortable, and I am high maintenance when it comes to sleep! It is in the first floor, meaning 2nd floor for americans, with three short flights of stairs. Elevator starts after the first flight(so if you are mobility impaired might be an issue). Overall we loved the location in Testaccio, outside the touristy center but walking distance to Trastevere. Can’t wait to come back!

From before we even arrived Fernando is so attentive, kind, and helpful. For our stay in Portugal I rented 3 different homes, in 3 different areas and we all agree that this was our favorite! We loved Porto! We loved this home. The outside area is great and is perfect for a glass of wine after a day of exploring. We celebrated our daughter getting engaged at this house so it will always hold some very special memories to us. I truly can't say enough about how much we loved this house and how wonderful Fernando is!!.

Six of us had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and well decorated. The backyard is terrific place to chill after a hard day of enjoying the Porto sights. Our host meet us and shared a welcome presentation explaining the house and the area and greeted us with a touch of port. We recommend it highly.

The property is very well maintained Superb location to walk to the center city in 20 min. Loved the backyard, small grocery store in 5 min walking Host Fernando was simply a delight to work with. Personally involved to make sure we were comfortable in every step. He has created this digital handbook which pretty much reads your mind and gets you the answers. This is a highly recommended home away from home.

We stayed with another couple and found the home to be more than spacious for our needs. We enjoyed spending time in the patio. Our host was helpful informing us of local businesses, restaurants and tourist sites. Access to the entire city is only a few Euros for an Uber ride.

Fernando and his place are amazing! Four ladies who have traveled together for lots of years and stayed at many VRBOs - and this property is one of the best! Beautifully decorated, very modern and four bedrooms and four bathrooms! It even has outside space which was great for wine/dining and would be super if you had kids. One of the bedrooms in on the first floor which was also nice to have. The kitchen is well furnished. Place is also very conveniently located - you can walk everywhere (altho Uber is super cheap!). And as wonderful as this place is - Fernando is even better! He stayed in communication with us, was there at our arrival, had on online presentation (as well as sent guidebook prior) to sites, etc. He made dinner reservations which we greatly appreciated and enjoyed. In addition, he was always accessible by text or phone. Do not hestitate to book. You will not be disappointed!

22Oporto was perfect for our group of 8 - 4 couples. We each had our own bed and bath. Great dining and lounging area for breakfast and after touring gatherings. Garden area was lovely for eating Al fresco. Fernando was so friendly and helpful and provided a lot of valuable information. He is a great resource when planning a trip to Porto. 2 minute walk to Metro, which made it easy to get around. The walk into the historic district was not bad as it was downhill. Highly recommend!!

Fernando was so responsive to my inquiries. Met us at the place to check us in. Gave great tips/ideas of things to see. The place was as advertised. Clean, nicely decorated. Great sheets/towels. Loved that each room had its own bathrooms that were well stocked with amenities. Also like the backyard patio to sit and enjoy some sun later in the afternoon. Only wished we had more outlets in the bedrooms for all our electronics, had to unplug lamp outlet to charge up our phones at night. Would definitely stay here again

Fernando was a pleasure to meet from the time of booking through the morning our stay ended. Not only was he an amazing host, he was a tour guide, a resource and became a friend to us. The home was perfect for 6 adults with 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The courtyard out back was just what we needed every evening! We would love to stay at Oporto 22 again in the future!! Fernando was a great host who provided great material about the rental property and surrounding areas prior to our visit. He communicated with us ahead of our visit and was there to greet us upon arrival. The property itself was exactly as pictured in the listing and was everything we ever could have needed. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return someday!

The home is well appointed, welcoming and great to have 4 bedrooms and bathrooms for our family stay. Within walking distance to what we wanted to see. Best of was the helpful, gracious and wonderful owner.

From the beginning to the end our host Fernando was excellent. He reached out a couple of days prior to help our transition into Porto go smoothly. He forwarded a highly organized "guide book" that helped us prior and throughout our stay. The accommodation was 5 star all around. Each room has it's own ensuite which suited out party of 6 and was spotless. Fernando helped us to organize a private 3 hour river cruise on the Duro and an exceptional afternoon in the valley. The location of the accommodation is within walking distance of all main attractions, or local transit if needed. We accessed food within 10 steps of the front door. The backyard had a private patio for our use. I would highly recommend Santo Ildefonso.

We were a family of 5 (grown up kids) - loved the neighbourhood, easy to walk to the historical district and we often did the walk down to the busy and fun waterside. Fernando is a wonderful host, he went above and beyond to help us.

We stayed in Fernando's property for 3 days to spend New Year in Porto, PT. The location is outstanding, a walking distance of Porto's historic downtown district. A grocery store is only 20 ft away. There is also a nice coffee shop just a block away with strong coffee and pastries. The kitchen is well-furnished and clean. A perfect apartment for a group of 6 or 8. All rooms have separate baths and plenty of privacy. I would give a 5-star review for this location. The reason why I gave only 4 has to do with the Portugal tourist tax charged at the time of check-in (2 euros per person/night). I wish I were advised in advance. I don't like surprises. The owner did not accept credit cards, only cash. I also had to pay $20 euros (cash) a day for a parking garage. I did not know parking was not included, perhaps I should have read the footnotes a bit more carefully. Fernando is a great host. He was present at the time of check-in and gave us many important tips about places to visit and restaurants to eat. Thank you.

Fernando was a wonderful host and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean and had enough to make our stay quite comfortable. The location is close to metro and buses for a quick ride into town. There is a well stocked market very close. We would definitely stay here again.

He provided restaurant recommendations and even helped us make reservations at one place since we could not do it on line. The 7 of us had a wonderful time in Porto. We made use of the outdoor space each evening. What a wonderful experience! .
