Having read a few not-so-great reviews before my stay, I wanted to give an honest and straightforward account of my experience.
First of all, the location is absolutely perfect. The building is so charming and full of character, and the rooftop is simply magical, with beautiful views over Bari Vecchia and its landmarks, including the churches and the castle.
The place feels clean overall. Of course, with so many guests coming and going, you can tell that the bed has seen better days but the mattress is still very comfy. And yes, since I also read a few comments about it, there is some mould, particularly in the bathroom. That said, the place is clean, and let's be realistic: this is an old building in a historic town right by the sea, where humidity is part of life.
Both the room and the bathroom are very spacious, too. But honestly, when you're in Bari, surrounded by all the wonders of Puglia, you're probably not there to spend much time in your room anyway!
There was no disturbing noise at all, just the sound of the church bells and the gentle buzz of the streets in the morning, which I found so charming and typical of Bari.
Last but not least, a big thank you to the team for being so responsive on WhatsApp. It was incredibly convenient to be able to text you and get such quick replies.
Puglia stole my heart!
