About this house rental
Logan Springs Ranch is 142 acres of trees, trails, creeks and springs. A beautiful property for hiking, fishing or just relaxing. There is NO hunting allowed on this property. The 2140 sq. ft. home sits on top of hill overlooking a 5 acre lake. The back deck and screened in porch offer wonderful views of the lake and property. Lake and 2 ponds for catch and release fishing. Trails throughout the property are great for hiking and exploring.
Two kayaks, pedal boat, and two person bass boat with trolling motor, along with life vests, are available for use.
Seldom do you find a property that offers access to 142 wooded acres with trails for hiking and a lake for fishing. The house was recently remodeled with all new appliances and top of the line finishes. It has two master bedrooms, each with a private bath and very comfortable king size beds. The sunroom has two sleeper sofas for extra guests. There are two big screen TVs so you can watch the game while the children watch cartoons. The covered deck allows BBQ in all weather and the screened in porch allows you to enjoy the outdoors without the bugs. There is a plant nearby that at times will have some level of noise. We have no control when those times are. You cannot hear it inside the house.
Wi-fi is available but may be slow. Service quality varies depending on the provider; Verizon works best. There is a land phone line with unlimited long distance to ensure reliable communication.
Deposit:
Very sorry for the deposit requirement. Due to some past issues, we had to implement that policy. The cleaning fee is for the house interior only. The deposit includes the exterior. We want to refund your deposit, so please return boats, life vests and kayaks to their correct stored location, put boat covers back on boats, no outside litter, no trash left on dock, in general follow the instructions in the booklet left for you and return the location to the way you found it please. Thank you very much for your understanding and support to keep the ranch nice for the next guests.
Liability Waiver:
You understand that swimming, hiking and the use of boats and kayaks is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming, hiking and using the boats and kayaks. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, hiking and use of the boats and kayaks and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, hiking and the use of boats and kayaks may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, hiking or using the kayaks if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, hikes or uses the boats and kayaks while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming, hiking or using the boats and kayaks. All VRBO Guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming below constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between VRBO Guests and VRBO Host.

The house, the lake, the property, and everything was incredible! We had an excellent time with our family. Our 4 teen boys loved fishing and exploring the land. We stayed 7 days and were able to completely relax and unwind!The house was super clean, well stocked, and super comfortable. The lake was full of bass and bluegill. We caught well over 100 fish during the week. The small ponds were full of hungry fish as well. The property was beautiful and fun to explore.Everything was even better than we expected. We hope to return again one day!Thank you for opening up your property for others to enjoy! Our family will forever remember this great vacation!

Great east Texas getaway. Remote enough for privacy and yet close enough to towns for short trips to eat out or go shopping.Home is nicely located by the 5 acre lake and has all the modern features. Yes, you can hear the natural gas plant in the area, but it’s not irritating and can’t be heard inside.Fishing is like fishing anywhere, it can be boom or bust, but I managed to catch some really nice bass. The bluegill fishing from the dock is phenomenal. Kids will love that!September heat prevented us from exploring all the trails, but the walks we did take were great. Excellent maps of the property are provided.The trolling motor for the small boat wasn’t working properly, but the owner has been notified and said that it will be taken care of.If you like nature and a nice home on a private lake, you can’t go wrong here.

My family and I had an amazing time. The views are absolutely stunning. The pictures don't capture the sheer beauty quite like being here in person does. Whenever we vacation we like our privacy, and boy do you get that here! It feels like you're in your own little world, it's fantastic! We had so much fun hiking the trails and finding the ponds in the woods. We all caught plenty of fish which was very exciting, especially for the little one. We utilized the motorized boat as well as the paddle boat the whole trip and we are so thankful those were provided to us! Bonus is that the lakeshore has a sandy bottom so we didn't have to worry about hurting our feet getting in and out of the water. It was so special seeing our 2 pups romping around the property as well - especially since one of my pups is old, has cancer, and this will likely be his last trip. So it was really special seeing him so happy and free. The house is absolutely beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. The view from the deck was such a highlight and plenty of seating is provided which was great for our family meals. The AC cooled down adequately which we really appreciated. We really enjoyed the cleanliness and updated look of the home as well. We were also impressed with the additional living room and bar area. There are 2 cons I would like to mention, however. The first, unfortunately, is to no fault of the owners. With that being said, even though it was a nuisance it doesn't detract from the fact that we had a great time and will hopefully return in the near future. The power plant located off of the property created a constant mechanical hum that was sometimes so loud that it drowned out the wildlife sounds. We were hoping for peace and quiet and to get away from the city sounds, so it was quite irritating while fishing and trying to enjoy the birds, frogs, and crickets hearing that going on the whole trip. The 2nd issue was that I found a black hair in the center of one one the pillows under a decorative one and when laying down at first I thought the sheets were just scratchy from maybe bleaching or something, but later I realized it was sand (not from me - I didn't have sand on my feet and there was no sand in the house yet since we hadn't gone in the grass/sand). Overall, we had a fantastic trip and have already recommended this place to a couple of family and friends. We would also like to return ourselves. Thanks so much!
