Very homely, very clean and a super location.

The weather for our stay was hot and air conditioning would have been perfect.

Maryse was very friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable room. Great location. Breakfast was lovely.

This is the kind of bed and breakfast stay we used to enjoy here in the UK but which seems to have died out. You stay in the host's own home and sleep in her spare bedroom with your own private bathroom (not ensuite) - and enjoy breakfast in her dining/living room surrounded by the things she has collected and created over the years. A real taste of France. The room was extremely clean; the bed comfortable; the bathroom tastefully decorated and clean with a good shower and the breakfast very tasty and enjoyable, Our host had provided water; fruit and biscuits in the room - a real bonus. Maryse is a lovely, interesting woman and a talented artist - and was a pleasure to meet.

The shared entrance hall to the block of apartments Maryse lives in seemed a bit dingy - so we were a bit put off at first. But don't let this deter you - her apartment is lovely and this is a good stay. We managed to park outside the apartment but it was the last space as the town was in the middle of it's fiesta. Just check whether there are events on during your stay and be prepared to park further away. As it was fiesta day in Figeac there was a fair bit of noise at night from neighbours coming home in a merry state which disturbed our sleep a bit - but I suspect this is not usual.

The breakfast was delicious. The host was very welcoming, and the room was very well-appointed. We were provided with a refreshing drink, fruit, and cookies upon arrival. The room also included a small balcony.

Note that the accommodation is on the first floor - one floor up - so luggage must be carried upstairs. Also, there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke.

It was impossible to find, it said there were city views, a terrace…and the room was in someone’s apartment!
