Nestled in Castine, this attractive house for $360 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. RECENT LOCATION OF TRAVEL CHANNEL FILMING! That's right, out of the blue we were contacted by the travel channel who loved the property and chose to film some footage here! Watch the sun set over the water as you sit on the back deck of this beautiful, recently renovated home. A large sunny lawn slopes down to a private beach: kayak in the cove straight from your own beach, or just sit on the porch or by the fire pit enjoying the view. (We have two adult kayaks and two children's kayaks for your use). This clean, sunny cottage sleeps 8 in beds, one adult or two children in the fun, super comfy CorduRoy Nest chair that pulls out to a bed (located in the livingroom), 4 bedrooms including a brand new master suite upstairs with a master bedroom with big window overlooking the water, adjoining sitting room and full bathroom - a perfect quiet getaway for parents! Also a beautiful living room, sunny clean updated kitchen, fire pit, back deck with gas grill and a Clubhouse - an outbuilding next to the main house - with sofa, ping pong table, cornhole, darts mini fridge and games. Great hangout for the kids! (Clubhouse is not heated so just beware that in winter it'll be freezing in there.) Washer dryer in basement. High chair and pack n play in the house too. WiFi and smart TV. Beach Lane Cottage is located just minutes from the historic and picturesque village of Castine. Also a short drive to Blue Hill, and just an hour from the stunning Acadia National Park and the village of Bar Harbor. Maine Maritime Academy is also just minutes away, in Castine. Enjoy wireless internet, and a firestick through which you can watch a huge selection of channels like Amazon Prime, Hulu, CNN, Sports channels and more. This house has both heat and AC. Our son is a student at MMA and this house was the perfect location for visiting. Cozy house, comfy beds… the swing was super fun and we had a good time exploring at low tide. Thank you!

The cottage is nicely maintained with everything four sisters and one brother over 60 needed or wanted. Plenty of towels, wi-fi, a deck to watch spectacular sunsets. If you have kids this place is good. A rocky beach was nice to walk on. Spectacular sunsets. My only caveat is that other than a few homes there is not much in a walkable distance.

The house was just as advertised, clean and ready for us. We used it as a base camp for touring around the area, and enjoyed the amenities the home provided. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I wish the weather had cooperated but you can’t have everything!

I had a very relaxing vacation in this clean and comfortable home in a beautiful location. My family very much enjoyed the swing, kayaks, and ease of access to the water. I only wish I'd known about the Blue Hill Co-op sooner. I found it on the final day of our trip, and it is terrific.

Our family (2 adults and 5 children) enjoyed our stay at the Beachlane Cottage. It has access to Penobscot Bay via a short path behind the house where there’s a rocky beach area (with some sandy areas during low tide).
The cottage is a short drive to the village of Castine and a good launching point to other spots of interest (e.g., Acadia and Deer Isle).
The house was spotless and very well stocked with everything we needed. The owners Heather and Dave were very responsive whenever we reached out to them.
The only reason I didn’t give it a 5-star rating is because the house is situated pretty close to a road where the speed limit is 45 MPH, so there was some noise from that (but traffic wasn’t usually too heavy).

It was a beautiful place and the kids had a wonderful time down on the beach collecting shells, kayaking, playing in the clubhouse and they loved the tree swing.

This is a well-maintained, very nice property. The rooms and beds were fantastic and the location and views were wonderful. The game room house Ping Pong table was great fun. The furnished water shoes were very necessary and appreciated. We would highly recommend.

Wonderful cottage off the bay, perfect for our family as we celebrated our son’s graduation. It was well-appointed, cozy rooms, super clean and had amazing views. We enjoyed the fire pit, playing ping pong in the clubhouse, corn hole in the yard and finding shells on the private beach.

This place was great with amazing views! We stay in a different spot every time we come up to Penobscot and this was by far the best. It definitely would be amazing to check it out in the summer. The beds are super cozy and the house is bigger than it appears in the photos. The amenities were great especially because we travel light. I can’t think of anything else that the house would need!

While my husband and I went on this trip only with the intent of unplugging from the world and vedging out, I found this property to be incredibly beautiful. Inside was super clean and had the cutest decorations that fit well for the area. The kitchen has just about everything you need (besides food of course). I loved the comfort and quiet we felt while there. However, I can absolutely see us coming back with the kids to enjoy the outdoors as well! The view from the back door is something out of a postcard. If I were able to wake up early, I'm sure the sunrise would have been to die for! Theres a clubhouse with games, a fire pit, and even some kayaks to use. I'm sure we will be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty of room for my family of 6 to be comfortable. The kitchen had anything you need to cook a meal and we really enjoyed exploring around the area. The beach and kayaks were a great bonus. A couple of activities in the area we would recommend are the Penobscot bridge observatory and Acadia National Park.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. When it was time to leave, my 9 year old son was sad because he said “this place hold such special memories for me”. The home was very clean and comfortable. The hosts have supplied many basic essentials which is great, because it is quite a trek to the nearest store. The hosts were very prompt and kind when we contacted them with any questions. Without hesitation, we would stay here again!

The house is adorable and the owners really thought of everything to make everyone comfortable. The clubhouse was perfect for our young kids under 5 and there were so many toys and games. They really just loved the big yard to run and the private beach to play. It was such a relaxing week away from everything! It was also extremely clean and we really appreciated that!

A lovely base for exploring Maine. We were only an hour away from Acadia national park and 2 hours from Maine Botanical gardens. We loved exploring the charming small villages and towns nearby. The beach area in the back had a bench that we loved to watch the sunset in the evening and really enjoyed having s'mores and a little wine around the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable and I got to stay in the loft which was light and airy. We loved our stay!!!

During our 3 week stay, we had 11 family members ranging in age from 6 to 81, at the house (not all at the same time!) Every single one LOVED being there. The beach was a favorite hangout; the children enjoyed time in the clubhouse; kayaking, swimming, steaming lobster, baking blueberry pies, Maine's famous red hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire at the fire pit...all things done at the house, which has pretty much all the 'tools' you need for these activities and more.
Julia, the property manager, was readily available to handle any questions....so very pleasant and accommodating.
The upstairs was called 'the best place in the house' by those who stayed up there. Absolutely gorgeous view, as well as comfortable and inviting.
Our group went on many excursions while there: Castine, Belfast, Bangor for the Children's Museum and Stephen King's house, Acadia/Bar Harbor, Old Town where canoes are made....can't even list them all!
I can't say enough about this home and its location. Our 3 weeks flew by!

Cozy waterfront cottage
Beach lane cottage provided a wonderful vacation spot for the whole family. The yard is huge, great for croquet. The water access and use of the kayaks were fantastic and easy for the whole family to enjoy. Lowtide provides lots of interesting shoreline to explore and walk along. The cottage is newly renovated, clean, with super comfy mattresses and has a kitchen with all the needed accessories. The location is great for exploring the area's communities (Castine, Belfast, etc.) as well as several manageable hikes. It feels isolated from the rush of the world, yet 10 mins from the grocery store. I would highly recommend to those looking for a midcoast Maine experience. Thank you!

Don't Second Guess Booking This Property!
An absolutely gorgeous cottage, view, location, amenities, and host! Stayed for a week with my husband, sister and B in Law. We used the fire pit nearly every night and spent time walking or just enjoying the view on the beach. We played corn hole our last night, and wished we had done sooner. My husband and I are avid kayakers, but only used the ones on the property once. A foot brace was missing on one of the boats, so it was difficult to use effectively. Heather was unaware, and I'm sure has already had it repaired for future use!
There is plenty to do within an hours drive to keep everyone happy. We spent some time visiting family and several coastal towns that brought back memories from our childhood. A highlight was visiting two of my very favorite swimming spots while growing up. Sorry, I can't share locations, but they are still as peaceful and clear as I can remember from my earliest memories.
My husband and I did some cycling, paddling, and hiking, while my sis and husband visited some areas that they have enjoyed in the past. It was always wonderful to return in the evenings to enjoy the sunsets and warm fire pit on the cool evenings. Make sure to look for the galaxies on a dark low moonlight night.
My personal recommendation; BOOK THIS PROPERTY AND ENJOY SERENITY AND PEACE AND QUIET WITH NO SHORTAGE OF AMENETIES TO KEEP EVERYONE HAPPY!

Wonderful cottage
Had a great stay at the cottage. Property on the beach was beautiful. Area is incredible. Having access to kayaks was a huge plus. House was super clean and had all the necessary accessories to help with the stay. Only issue was that the listing was for a four bedroom 2 bath house but the upstairs was not accessible to us making it a 3 bedroom 1 bath house. We made it work.

Beautiful Maine Getaway
The location is fabulous. The view was beautiful and the stars at night awesome. We had such fun with our toddler grandson in the large grassy backyard. The house was comfortable and well equipped . We had a great time exploring the peninsula. There are so many beautiful places to see.. Thank you Heather and Davis.
