This property was great as home base for our vacation. We spent time jumping in Blue Hole Ocoee, took a day trip to Helen for some awesome tubing, another day trip to Atlanta to the World of Coke. Dinners, movies and hot tub fun at home. Twin boys, age 13 got schooled in darts and Galaga, lol! But now they know how to play both! Great time! Thank you!

If you are looking for a remote location within an hour of most major attractions in north Georgia, this is it. Enough space for a large family to dread out and not feel cramped. Very clean. Rustic decor puts you in the mood to enjoy the mountains.

Spacious but cozy. Fantastic sunsets from the deck or the sofa! Best night’s sleep ever in master bed. Super comfortable and quiet.
If you plan to watch TV in any of the bedrooms bring your own streaming device, ie, Firestick.
Coffee pot in kitchen made a disastrous mess of water and coffee grounds all over counter. Thought maybe it was clogged, so gave it a super cleaning and tried again. Major mess again. Day 2 I realized there is a small pot downstairs at wet bar so finally had caffeine! Left a note so hopefully it will be replaced before next guest.
Checkout steps include starting load of towels in washer. Guess I should have brought laundry soap. None provided. There was an unlabeled, almost empty container of crystal-looking stuff with no scent. Couldn't be sure what it was so didn’t use.

We had a great time at sunset ledge. Perfect for outdoors, sitting by the fire, roasting marshmallows. Close enough to blue ridge where you can enjoy the small town charm. Unfortunately we missed the fall leaves as they already fell, but this helped us get the most amazing sunsets and a perfect view of the mountains around. We even got lucky enough to have some deer come up every evening and early morning.
Only downside was when cooking thanksgiving, kitchen was small and if you plan on cooking a large meal like thanksgiving, I highly recommend bringing some essentials.
Overall great trip and experience will definitely be back.

Last min getaway
Great family getaway. Plenty of bedrooms and space for the family. Perfect yard to bring pets too! Kitchen is a bit small, but worked for our family.

Thanksgiving getaway
We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and game room! The sunset view was beautiful as well. We had a quick trip to horseback riding as well as into town in Blue Ridge for shopping and lunch. This cabin is decorated beautifully and was very clean! We enjoyed the big porches and the comfortable rocking chairs, as it rained one day! Enjoyed the fire pit after the rain passed! We highly recommend this cabin and hope to visit it again in the future!

This was the perfect , clean, and cozy cabin with all the amenities a family could want for a little mountain get away. Sunset Lodge was the perfect escape for our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) and dog. The beds were comfortable and the space was very clean and organized. The kitchen space was a tad small, making it difficult for more than 2 people, to work in the space, but that wasn't a problem for us as we didn't cook any elaborate meals. The bathrooms were also small, but in the upstairs bathroom there was plenty of storage for those using it. The downstairs bathroom however, was small and didn't have any counter space or shelves for toiletries. Those are my only negative comments. The outside space was wonderful, including a nice fenced in area for our dog. The wooded area surrounding the cabin created a sense of privacy and gave our children a wonderful place to run around and play, they even built a "fort." The fire pit was wonderful, we used it every night. The hot tub was also very clean and a perfect size for 4 adults. The game room/family room downstairs was a real hit with the kids, they really enjoyed the arcade games and the dart board. They also enjoyed playing on the classic Nintendo. The cabin feels secluded and private, but it only 15 minutes from the closest grocery store and a few restaurants in Blue Ridge, making it the perfect location.
Overall the cabin was perfect; comfortable, spacious, and very dog friendly.

The cabin had everything we needed & more!
There was plenty of room for our 2 families.

Amazing privacy and views

We visited with two couples and our dogs. The main floor had a room with a king and a room with a queen. This cabin has no real master and the bathroom is shared. The downstairs had a small sitting area, wet bar and gaming area along with a room was a king bed and a room with two twins.
The good: the cabin was well-appointed and comfortable. The patio had rocking chairs and a picnic table. The fenced area for the dogs was great so you didn’t have to leash the dogs to go potty. The rest of the yard was large and open.
The not so good: first and foremost the step down from the kitchen to the deck was far too high. New steps need to be installed to make it much safer. The faucet in the kitchen is super loose and barely hanging on. The main porch wasn’t screened and bugs flew in. Speaking of bugs, downstairs their were too many creepy crawly things we had to kill. On our first night, I was awakened by the sound of breaking glass at 5 am. I walked around to see what had broken, but didn’t figure it out until later that one of the lightbulbs from the chandelier over the dining table had fallen. The housekeeping left some to be desired as we found playing cards and Pens in the couch when we sat down, dog food spread on the porch, wet towel next to the hot tub, paper plate in the yard, laundry detergent bottle was empty, etc. Also, in the main bath, the fan was also a heater. If you turned it on, you cooked yourself. It had a button for heat and a button for fan, but both turned on the heat. Luckily, it did had a window that could be opened.
All in all, it’s a nice cabin that could use some TLC.

The cabin was great. We had plenty of room with five adults and two dogs. More than five people may have been an issue with the bathroom set up. The hot tub became a nightly ritual. The kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the extra touches like an extra propane tanks. Communication with the management company was excellent.

Loved our stay overall.
Pros-
1) The dog run is exceptional if you bring your pups.
2) Loved the hot tub and fire pit.
3) Sunsets are beautiful.
4) So much great boating, kayaking, and hiking nearby!
5) So much wildlife- Please use caution on roads to house- we saw multiple deer almost daily and twice had them jump out right in front of our vehicle.
Cons-
1) The kitchen is extremely small, very hard to cook in with minimal counter space, so plan extra time for meal preparation due to this.
2) I would recommend bringing absolutely everything you will need to cook, as knives are dull, cutting boards are tiny and well worn, etc. (not unexpected for a rental property).
3) The 2 rooms on the mail level (1 queen, 1 king) both have windows, but the two rooms downstairs (2 twins in one, 1 king in other) have no windows.
4) There is 1 bathroom on each level, both are small.
5) Water pressure in lower shower is very low, so all 6 of us trying to shower in upper level shower.
6) Lower level bathroom has a spider infestation issue. We encountered 2-4 very large spiders a day in that bathroom the week we were there. The spider issue needs addressed.
7) The main level deck has a carpenter bee infestation problem that they are aware of, as they have traps set up, but this was problematic to our group, as we had individuals who have anaphylactic reactions to bee stings and carpenter bees can sting multiple times, so we weren’t able to use deck or leave doors open for ventilation as we would have liked.
Despite the cons, I still gave this cabin 5/5 stars, as it’s a mountain cabin, so some bugs/insects are expected, but the known bee issue should have been disclosed prior to our arrival imo. I’ve already recommended the property to multiple friends.
