Stay up for some night fishing on your lighted dock, your next door to the Shrimp boat bait store and a boat ramp. Prepare your unforgettable freshly caught meal in the full kitchen or small propane grill. Go adventuring in our two kayaks (Waiver Required) or enjoy the neighboring San Bernard Wildlife Refuge and Justin Hurst Wildlife Management Area. This house is a bird watcher delight as it backs onto the wetland reserve.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans, cutlery, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, basic spices, and more! Full size washer and drier for your use.

This was a great place to stay! We went for the fishing and caught plenty of fish off the dock and it’s a quick drive to the beach and we caught plenty more. The owner gave us some fishing tips that helped a bunch.

Thank you Sid for offering up your property on VRBO. Sargent is a great place to go if you're looking to get away from the tourists that frequent other beaches. It is absolutely by and far my favorite place on the Tx Gulf Coast. Sid was readily available for any questions and concerns, the house was super clean and the fishing was fantastic! We will be booking with Sid again in the near future!!

We have stayed here before and loved the location. The owner is usually very responsive and can get help to you if needed. This time when we went down for a veteran group trip it flooded (bad timing on our part) however a heads up that it could flood would have been nice, we aren't sea people.
After it flooded we did get told to watch out for floating snakes, swimming snakes, and floating fire ant colonies by the owner. The flooding made the property unusable for several days. The biggest complaint for us is the AC unit's thermostat broke and it was unbearably hot in the house and nobody was able to sleep.
We ended up canceling our Veteran trip for safety concerns due to the flooding for our members and we rode it out until the water receded and were able to get out. A partial refund would have been nice since the AC was broken and unable to be fixed but was not offered.
