Located in Lake Junaluska, this lovely house for $160 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The spacious upper floor or our home (entered at ground level) is available for rent and has a separate entrance from the basement level. It is newly renovated and has an open floor plan with living room, large fully equipped kitchen, and dining area. Floor length windows that run all the way across the back wall give you an amazing view of beautiful Lake Junaluska. A deck that spans the length of the house provides a tranquil place for morning coffee or an evening bbq on the propane grill. The master suite has a king bed and adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and adjoining bath. The loft has twin and queen mattresses for sleeping and a small tv, DVD player, Play Station III, and toys. This is an ideal space for additional adults to sleep overnight and/or children to sleep and play. Adults should be aware that headroom in the loft is 5 feet at most and it is accessible only by stairs. It's located above the master bedroom and open to the living area, giving some privacy while still being open to the main area. We provide both a keurig and drip coffee maker. The downstairs apartment is occupied by very quiet long term renters who have their own outside entrance. The semi-circular drive is shared with those renters. They park, enter, and exit from opposite end of the driveway. Upstairs renters have an additional parking space. The only other shared space is the laundry room which is on the lower floor and has a lockable door which prevents downstairs renters from accessing the upper floor from the laundry room but still allows upstairs renters to enter the laundry area from stairs inside the house. We are located 5 minutes from the Haywood Regional Medical Center. We are 10 minutes from the quaint towns of Waynesville and Maggie Valley which provide great shopping and restaurants. We are a 30 minute drive to Asheville with its endless dining choices, eclectic festivals and entertainment and the famous Biltmore House. We are 20 minutes from Cataloochee Skiing. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also 20 minutes away and is paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Countless hiking trails, waterfalls, and beautiful mountain scenery are abundant. Our location has something for everyone. Staying at Lake Junaluska gives you access to an 18 hole golf course, a 200 acre lake for fishing & boating, a large outdoor community pool, putt putt, pickle ball, and 1200 beautifully landscaped acres in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. From the house, a 1/2 mile walk (gradual slope) or a 2 minute drive puts you on Lakeshore Drive and the Rose Garden paved walking trail which circles the lake. Our notebook gives directions to avoid steep hills if you're walking. We are a 1.4 mile walk to the conference center. Although we are on the Lake Junaluska grounds, our house is on the south side of the lake, away from the crowds, in what we consider the nicest neighborhood at the lake. Our house sits on a heavily wooded one acre lot. We are easily accessible from the highway. Since we are not at a high elevation and roads to our place are paved, access to our house is convenient, even in bad weather. Our semicircular driveway is right off the road, giving easy access to the house - a rarity in the mountains. The front porch is on level with the driveway and only one step is required for front door entry. A lock code pad allows easy entrance. The downstairs laundry room has a washer and dryer for guest use. Baby equipment and toys are also available.
