About this house rental
Nestled in Florence, this charming house for $245 per night is a great choice for your next break. Peaceful waterfront retreat! Perfect for your relaxing getaway with family or friends. The large deck overlooking the lake is an amazing spot for relaxing and "unplugging" from the stress that comes with the busy lives most of us have. Picture yourself relaxing on the (mostly shaded) large deck in the floating hammock chair, or rocking in oversized chairs while overlooking beautiful Shoal Creek! You can enjoy grilling on the charcoal grill on the patio overlooking the water. This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront home has an open floor plan and sleeps 8 people. Updates have recently been completed throughout the home, so you can enjoy fresh, neutral paint colors, as well as comfortable beds and cozy furniture in the great room. Enjoy beautiful waterfront views from most areas of the home! The Master bedroom has a queen size bed and a flat screen TV. Bedroom 2 has two queen size beds and a flat screen TV. Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed and flat screen TV. The home is situated on a large private lot that is just minutes from town. Walmart, Publix, the mall, lots of places to shop, and many fast food restaurants, as well as dine in restaurants, are all just about a 10 minute drive. The dock is the perfect place to fish, swim or just unwind with your family or friends. You can easily tie a boat up at the dock. There is a boat ramp and marina close......about a 5-10 minute drive by boat or car! The kitchen is fully stocked with necessary cooking utensils, pots and pans, dinnerware, microwave, toaster, blender, and a coffee maker that is both single serve (uses pods) and has a 10 cup coffee pot. We provide towels, wash clothes, hand soap, two rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels and starter size of laundry detergent, dishwasher pod, and trash bags. We are looking forward to you enjoying this great lake house....as you make memories with your loved ones that you will cherish for years to come!! No parties or events allowed at the property.

There is not enough available space to write or submit my review unless I can upload in several sections. I would like to submit through email if at all possible. I will say this much, the property was not clean at all and there is a major electrical issue that should have never passed inspection. I have photos and videos that definitely need to be seen. Most of our issues have been mentioned in previous reviews but its very apparent that they have yet to me fixed at all. I would like to be contacted by VRBO and feel you will be interested in what I have to present. I do not recommend this property although the view and locations was amazing. A fire hazard for sure! I look forward to being contacted by a VRBO representative soon.

This house had one of the best views of lake from so many places. The floor to ceiling windows across the entire main living area made it feel like we were outside even while cooking breakfast. The massive deck, covered porch and lakeside dock made it hard to decide where to spend our time. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with lake swimming and the benefit of town being 5 minutes away - this place is perfect!

We booked this house to celebrate my mother's 65th birthday. The pictures don't do it justice! The deck is HUGE, and the view is gorgeous. My husband and daughter fished the whole weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We would book again!

The house was musty smelling. We bought plug ins. No ice, dirty rag was left in kitchen sink. No top sheet on bed & wet clothes in washer & in dryer. It could use covers for plugs & lights. Needs dresser in front bedroom. We were instructed where to put trash. All trash cans were full from previous guest & never picked up. We had 3 couples staying & one bedroom door would not shut for privacy. Master bathroom was hard to regulate water & slow to heat. We enjoyed the deck everyday & swimming. It could be a beautiful home with some minor work!

Older home (looks like it was built in the 40's) with a lot of character. Uniquely furnished with a mesh mash of furnishings. The home needs a thorough cleaning and a lot of repairs though. There are exposed wires, in various parts of the house and a lot of incompleted projects throughout. The location itself makes up for it all though. Once and if repairs and upgrades are made this house could command triple for what we rented it for.

Property has positives (location, spectacular water views, peaceful, spacious, clean inside, nice frig, microwave, dishwasher & stove worked fine, "ok" decor, comfortable beds) but several negatives that outweigh the positives. Deck/patio area needs major cleaning & fresh coat of paint, chair cushions dirty & stained, cobwebby, tiki torches inoperable. Photos showed large supply of firewood for firepit but there were only 3 logs available. In our opinion, kitchen was NOT well-equipped for cooking & serving large meals. Outlet cover missing in living room area, some light switches didn't work, smaller bathroom outdated & in need of overhaul. Covered porch uninviting & no blades on ceiling fan. Wasps were buzzing around near the back door but no bug spray was available. Host said we could go to the Dollar General and buy some spray. Communication from the host was minimal, she answered questions before our arrival but didn't check on us after we got there. This is an older home and there are some modern touches, but it still needs ongoing maintenance, updates, and attention to details to make a positive impression and gain repeat customers.

We came to stay for my husbands business meeting. The property has some age but definitely is full of live! We didn’t need for anything! And we were able to enjoy time as a family by the lake. Perfect spot for kids fishing! They caught plenty of fish as did we!

The cleanliness and furnishings on the inside are inviting and homey. The view overlooking the water was worth it all. Even so, the exterior could stand a fair amount of maintenance. But if you mostly stay inside, no problem! Living room is spacious (for 3 couples) and kitchen, serving bar works well. There's fishing on the pier and from the shoreline. Caught nothing big, but kids would enjoy pulling in a bream! Plenty of TVs if that is your thing. Easy interaction with owner, Natalie. 8 minutes from the mall and 12 from downtown Florence.

The quiet location of this lake front property was great. All the museums and sound studios we visited were not far away. The host checked on us the second day we were there. We did however, find several things that bothered us. The water had to run for sometime before it was hot enough to shower in. In the kitchen we found pot holders stuck together with food, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and grease that stuck 2 sheet pans together in the cupboard. I'm not sure why there is a cleaning fee. We did leave it better than we found it. It is an older home, which we loved, but there was a broken electrical outlet in the dining area, wires exposed close to the baseboard in one of the bedrooms, and an old toothpaste cap in the bathroom drain. One highlight is the back porch which is awesome! We only got to use it one night due to rain the next 3 nights. We really did love the location, but were genuinly surprised by the condition of several things in the house. When we stay somewhere and pay that amount of money, we expect it to be as nice and clean as our own home. And we don't live in a mansion by any means. This is our fifth VRBO stay and our first disappointment.

Great location to spread out with family. The bedrooms on each side of the house make it really easy for multiple generations to stay together without feeling crowded because everyone has space. And the view and large deck are great! The gate closure on the deck is super helpful to make it an enclosed space for kids while still having easy access to the path to the dock.

We rented this property because we wanted a place to swim on the lake. This house did not disappoint. It is on a quiet cove with a dock that provides great access to the lake. The house is older but nice and spacious. It was perfect for our needs. The host checked on us during the stay to see if we needed anything.

We loved our time here! The multi decks were great and we mostly sat outside. The house was clean and comfortable. The instructions were clear and easy. The shower was a little difficult to figure out and took time to warm up. The outdoor decks were cobwebby. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would highly recommend.
