Welcome to paradise at this brand-new luxury condo, blu unit 406. This four-bed, three-bath unit accommodates nine people comfortably and is perfect for your next beach getaway. The unit features an open floor plan, creating a nice flow between the kitchen, dining area, and living area. The kitchen features a wrap-around layout with plenty of storage. It's also enhanced with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to make a perfect meal if you'd like. The dining area features a table that seats eight people, along with four bar stools at the breakfast bar next to the kitchen. The living area features a flat-screen television, and a DVD player, perfect for movie nights after long days in the sun and sand. Step out onto the covered gulf-side balcony to experience ultimate relaxation, while the sights and sounds of the waves wash your worries away. If you are an early riser, the balcony provides a picture-perfect setting to sip on your morning coffee while watching the sunrise. Kick your feet up and unwind in the evenings with your loved ones, as there is plenty of seating for the whole family. In the Master bedroom, enjoy a comfortable king-size bed, a large flat-screen television, and DVD player, immediate access to the oversized balcony, as well as a spacious ensuite master bathroom. The master bathroom features a double vanity with gorgeous quartz countertops, a lavish garden tub, and a capacious walk-in shower. Two of the guest bedrooms feature a queen-size bed and a twin-over-full-size bunk bed, and the other bedroom features a queen-size sofa sleeper. Each room features a large flat-screen television. The other two full bathrooms each offer a single vanity with a large walk-in shower. Each reservation includes one umbrella and two chairs Mar 1 - Oct 31. Paddle boards, kayaks, and bicycles are available for an additional charge. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

This was our 6th time staying in Fort Walton. First time stay at Blu. It's a great newer building. The condo is spacious. Balcony has plenty of seats. Showers powerful. Dryer dried super fast. Plenty of towels and wash clothes. Large pools although cold in October. I don't think they are heated. Chair service guy Brayden was super nice. Beds were comfortable.

The actual condo is beautiful. Furnishings are high end and well done. Check in: started with incorrect code so we couldn’t get in. They did get back to us pretty quickly with new code. We were told before check in the dishwasher was broken and they would have it fixed. Told us it was fixed on Tuesday but that wasn’t true. I questioned whether it was repaired due to the out of order sign still being on there and they assured me it was. I then got a call on Friday the repair man was coming to fix the dishwasher. No dishwasher all week. Next we were informed to stop using the shower in the guest room because it was leaking into the condo below us. So no bathroom the rest of the week. When I questioned them on the dishwasher, I got zero response. Worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. Wonderful property, if things are working. We have been going to the beach for a very long time and never experienced such poor management.

This unit was perfect for our stay at Fort Walton. Exceptionally large balcony with plenty of seating to observe the beautiful views. It’s a great resort and location. The private beach is wonderful and the pools are clean, spacious and easy to access.

The location was perfect. Security was on point. However, the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Towels were not plentiful and they were very scratchy. The condo was not as clean as others we have rented (3 in the past year). The microwave, garbage disposal and ice/water dispenser on the fridge did not work. While I will definitely rent through Vacasa again, I will not stay at this location.

We enjoyed our stay, but would not stay in this unit again. There was a lack of communication on change of codes. I was originally sent an app to download to help me with my vacation. I did download the app and load my reservation, however the app information is not kept current or updated in a timely fashion. Upon and leading up to arrival, I received text messages with updated information. I did not however, cross reference the codes. I used the ones on the app because it was what I was told would help me through out my stay. I finally, after not being able to access the unit or the pool and beach area called and was told the codes were in the welcome text. I then cross referenced and found they were indeed different from the ones on the app. I spoke to multiple residence and renters, the codes are a source of frustration among them as well as parking. Our parking spot was not clearly marked or communicated to me clearly, parking was very confusing. I was supposed to have a parking pass on the bar on arrival, I did not. I had to call Vacasa and ask where to park so I would not get towed and also ask where was my parking pass? Someone brought is about 20 min later and still could not give me proper information on where I could park. After getting in the home, we quickly found out the cable was not working in the living room and the back bedroom. We again called. They sent a repair man the next morning, he determined it was not something he could fix, they would have to call the cable company. The microwave was broken and they had a temporary one on the counter top to use, personally though it looked tacky. The ice maker in the freezer was broken as well. They do not offer ice on site anywhere. I was told if I went to the store down the road and bought ice they would reimburse me. There was nothing horrible just lots of inconveniences that I do not feel I should have had to deal with considering the amount of money I paid to stay here. I would not rent this unit again.

We were having difficulty finding something upscale in the Ft Walton Beach area and were glad to have found this while searching. The condo is very nice, just as pictured. Well stocked and plenty of room for my family of 7. The view was perfect and chairs were always ready for us at the beach.
My only issue was with the inability to book early check-in in advance. The day of booking Vacasa told me it’d be $100 and then said it couldn’t be booked in advance. Turns out it was not an option for us at all. The 4pm check in time was terrible for our 8am flight arrival. We thought we’d spend the time at the beach/pool, but it was raining. The property doesn’t have a lobby or indoor common area. So, just be aware if arriving early.
The unit seemed to be clean well, but we did find a few areas missed. There were long blonde hairs on the sofa bed and the kitchen counters weren’t wiped down well.
Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It’s a great place for a family getaway. Although there were lots of young children, we barely heard noise and were able to have a relaxing vacation.

Spacious accommodations right on the beach. Family of 3 loved it. Private, quiet, and felt safe. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Great for Dolphin viewing. Will definitely make Blu 406 my first choice for beachfront relaxation. Thanks to the other reviewers recommendations. See you soon!

Blu 406 is clean and simple with great windows, views and a porch right on the Gulf. Nice set up with bunks for kids and room for everyone to spread out. Easy to live in for a week if you’re working or on vacation.

The Blu Condos are great as they are on a quiet beach and away from the hustle and bustle, but yet close enough to Destin to get to all the restaurants and entertainment that you'd want.
Unit 406 was incredibly clean and comfortable. It is bright and spacious to a point where you could just spread out and have your own space. Decor was modern, updated, and it just felt "high end". We DID NOT want to leave. We will definitely return to the Blu Condos again in the near future. It was just great!
Some pointers for those visiting:
- There are appliances, pots, pans, silverware there. But, you will need to bring things like Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Dish Towels, Salt/Pepper, Scrubber for dishes, Dishwasher tablets, trash bags, baggies, cling wrap, and Detergent/Fabric Softener for the laundry.
- I loved that they had large carts you could use to take luggage to/from the unit. They are all located down by the elevators in the parking garage.
- If you need extra beach chairs/umbrellas, just wait until you get there and let the rental place at the beach know that you need more. It's not cheap, but you don't need to worry about it until you get there.
- We were interested in maybe getting bikes. But, this is not in an area that bikes are real feasible to use. I wouldn't worry about it.

That’s the only thing other than that we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.
