About this cabin rental
Located in the Heart of Land Between the Lakes, come soak in Lake Barkley s nature and stay in a Forest Rangers cozy log cabin. Adjoined by an open enclosed breezeway one half being a modernized addition providing ample kitchen & state of the art appliances. Sit around one of the two gas fireplaces while reading our vast collection of nature books, walk over beautiful original wood floors, newly installed central heating and cooling, come enjoy a historical experience for that special occasion that will bring you memories for a lifetime! The Space A well situated cabin on the corner of a nice circle neighborhood in Cadiz, KY. Great for couples or family. This cabin is a 2/2. Living room/Library has a comfortable cozy feel. Enjoy reading a book and curl up in the living room next to one of our two fireplaces. Television with DVD player. The main bedroom has a queen size mattress and its own bathroom with bath tub. The second bedroom is upstairs with a full size bed. Kitchen is equipped with state of the art appliances and utensils to make a great home cooked meal. The Neighborhood Sitting quietly on the corner of our circle neighborhood. The neighborhood is a nice to get your morning walk exercise in. Just off the main entrance of the neighborhood is a great place to grab a bite of BBQ. Lake Barkley Resort Park is located 10 minutes drive with access to indoor swimming pool, extensive workout gym with indoor racquet ball. Outdoor tennis courts, and basketball. Biking, boating, camping, fishing, golfing, hiking, playgrounds, arcade, pool table. Bar and Restaurant. Guest Access You have complete access of the cabin. Less than 1,000 ft from Lake Barkely is a community park right off the lake. Nearest public boat ramp access is half a mile from the cabin. Interaction with Guests Captain Roy Smith will be the manager of the cabin. Captain Roy will give you the history and tour of the cabin in person and will answer any questions and help with anything during your stay. Throughout your stay feel free to call or text anytime. My best friend and I had such a perfect stay at this cabin. Relaxed , shopping, visited the local towns even went to Nashville for the day. We used nearly every room in the house including the front porch. It was clean, warm and roomy.. Captain Roy thank you for checking in to see if we needed anything. Loved the experience!

House was pretty cool. Lots of stuff though so wasn’t sure about that-old food stuff-I had though i read there was internet in the listing bit may have read that wrong, it didn’t take away from the stay though!!

This is definitely rustic but very comfortable. If you want to disconnect from a busy lifestyle, this is for you. My granddaughters were very impressed by the books in the library, until they saw the DVD collection. Kept them entertained in the time they spent with us. Roy was a good host and provided for our needs. Would highly recommend this place.

The kitchen is well equipped. Many cozy spots to relax, read, write, . . . throughout the cabin. Convenient to National and State Resort Parks in the area and about 1 hour from Paducah. Our stay was comfortable. The add on Vrbo said there was wifi. There was no wifi, no cell service, no land line, so we were cut off from being able to communicate without going to a resort park facility or down the road toward Cadiz 5 miles. The faucet to the sink in master bath leaked into the cabinet below. The tension rod for the shower had no tension.

The location was perfect for us to access LBL and the cabin wasn't anything to fancy but it was perfect for what we needed.

The house/cabin was very homey an welcoming. I would not call it a fancy hotel. It was as clean as my house. Which could use a good dusting We never got instructions on how to get in. My daughter found the keys luckily. The description lists WIfi, however there is none. Not a deal breaker since my husband's Verizon work phone hot spot worked well enough for me to work some in the morning. The AC worked very well which August in KY is a must. The outside wasn't real well kept but the dry summer led to leaves falling early an it was too hot to be outside any way. Close to LBL(bison Prarie is a must see)
Not as close to Hopkinsville as we'd liked since that's where all our family is. We would stay again if this was available.

A quiet getaway in Cadiz!
A really nice cabin. Well furnished, homey atmosphere and rustic setting. Just what we were looking for.

Rebecca answered all of our questions about things to do with our family and places to eat in the area. It was a nice quiet place to relax and unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

Spring Break Family Lake Trip
The check in process was easy and Rebecca had the house ready early for us to check in. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. Rebecca answered all of our questions about things to do with our family and places to eat in the area. It was a nice quiet place to relax and unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

What a sweet cabin!❤
We booked the cabin for the week of Thanksgiving 2021. We were pleasantly pleased. (The first few reviews were clearly wrong.) The cabin was clean. (I'm à cleaning lady.)
We loved the feeling of stepping back in time...this place has so much history.
You will have everything you need. No WiFi...no problem...so nice to unplug! (Our phones worked fine.)
Rebecca was the perfect host & Captain Roy was only à call away.
Our favorite was enjoying the Library/family room...its cozy fireplace...and a game of cribbage or sequence.(We brought.) We had family over for dinner...the house was filled with good smells & family!
It is what you make it....
(Even the neighbors roosters & his chicks who came to visit were part if what made our stay perfect!) So if you are a city slicker...this place is not for you. But if you are a writer...an outdoors person (Land Between The Lakes)is nearby.)..if you just want to kick back and relax....this is your place!

There were a lot of bugs on the kitchen counters, and so much dust in the furniture. Two of the kids couldn't breathe through it, so we had to leave.

He also provided tourist brochures for the area and since he knew from our previous communication that I liked history, he had special history brochures. The cabin had ample space for relaxing and was within a few miles of the "land between the lakes" park. Only suggestion we have would be to have internet service at the cabin. Most [people today use the internet almost daily. Bottom line, we recommend this cabin as a reasonably priced vacation spot for anyone travelling to this area.

Very cozy cabin. Rebecca was very nice and help. It was a little weird to have the owner’s food in the fridge and clothes in the closet and dressers. Overall a great experience.

Totally unacceptable! Residential neighborhood was not in the description. House smelled , pest sticky traps noted. Very disappointing, did not even stay!!!

Charming Cabin
Comfortable beds, but short a bed. Our granddaughter had to sleep on the sofa, which was unacceptable. We thought it would at least be a hide-a-bed. Fortunately, we had family in another cabin and she was able to stay with them. A rollaway bed would have been nice. Good value compared to the price of other rentals in the area.

Cozy log cabin
Very cool and historical cabin with updated kitchen in a peaceful neighborhood. Cell service was poor and no wifi so it was definitely a disconnected vacation. Good for family time. Close to the lake and an easy drive to lake Barkley marina.

Cabin by the Lakes
We enjoyed our stay In the cabin. It is on a quiet neighborhood that right off of 68. This gives quick access to the LBL. It was a relaxing atmosphere to disconnect and get away too with a nice collection of DVD’s and books to enjoy.

The property was okay; however, the strong smell of cats in the kitchen and back utility room was significant. We bought candles to help cover the smell.

The owner was very helpful and informative. The cabin or I shod say cabins are very nice, they did a great job renovating the inside. The is no internet or cable TV, so you get to leave the world behind yet you are close enough to town if you need to get something. If you are looking for a good location to use as a place to stay while fishing the lakes, this would be it.
If you want. A place where the kids have to put down their electronics, this would be it.
We would even hear the coyotes at night, and saw deer as well.
We will stay there again.

I brought my family here for vacation and we absolutely loved it!!!
It was a beautiful and quiet place to enjoy a week away!! And very spacious for my large family!! Everything u need is ready to go. Will defiantly have to stay again!!!

Wonderful place to get away!
This is a lovely home in a lovely setting. We enjoyed being so close to the Land Between the Lakes, the quietness of the neighborhood, and all the amenities the house had to offer.

Great little retreat
I needed a peaceful place to get away and do some writing, and this cabin was perfect. It is a family cabin on the outskirts of a little lakefront neighborhood, with a woods in back. This is a great place for someone who truly wants to get away for awhile. It doesn’t have cable TV, but there is a huge DVD library and it’s right near the state park, lake, etc. so lots to do if you like outdoor activities. There are also plenty of books to read. It is a beautiful little cabin; I really enjoyed staying there and had a very productive week.
