About this cabin rental
Located in Mitchell County, this charming cabin for $130 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Welcome to The Berry House, a cozy home nestled in the woods. It's the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. For those seeking adventure, we're located near various recreational activities such as skiing, gem mining, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, rafting, and the prestigious Penland School of Crafts. We're situated in the Western North Carolina mountains, just five minutes away from town. As you approach your home away from home, enjoy a short drive through the Rusty Spur Tree Farm where you'll see cows, horses, and some area wildlife frolicking in the fields. This is a great place to get away and relax in a quiet location. We're conveniently located within a reasonable commute to Ski Beech, Appalachian Ski Resort, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing. Plus, we're centrally located between Asheville, Boone, and Johnson City. If you're towing motorcycles on a trailer, you're more than welcome to park the trailer at our farm located just below the cabin. And when you're out riding, you can leave your truck along with the trailer at the barn without any worries. Just keep in mind that the cabin is on a gravel road.

Property had everything that was expected and more. Very clean, organized and nicely decorated for the upcoming season. Communication with the owners was exceptional. The cabin was as advertised. It provided a clean and comfortable home base for us to explore the beautiful mountains of the area. The hosts were helpful and arrangements were easy. We especially enjoyed time around the fire pit each evening.

What a nice place to stay! You are surrounded by woods and all is quiet and yet you can be in town in under 10 minutes. This house was clean and well furnished. Dependable WiFi when we needed it and the beds were comfortable. Definitely better than staying in a hotel. We would recommend this cabin to anyone considering it. We hope to make it here again sometime.

This is our second stay in this cabin. It is in a private setting - peaceful and relaxing. Very nice for a couple, and does have two bedrooms. We use the second for our luggage, but both bedrooms do have good size closets, if needed. The cabin is clean and has everything necessary for a nice stay. Hosts are available, if needed. Front covered porch and back deck are great outdoor spaces. We highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway.

Absolutely beautiful place! Already planning a return trip. Joey and Missy are the best hosts anyone could ever hope for. One bit of advice for riders, if you’re on touring bikes with passengers. Plan on passengers walking last 100 feet of driveway. Ready for fall riding!

The owners were great to work with, the property is very private and nestled away in the mountains. We saw lots of deer every day and the songbirds were in concert every morning. Oh and a biggie for us, the queen bed in the master bedroom was really comfy!

We will be back to stay again. It’s located away but just minutes away from everything. It was very quiet. We enjoyed hearing the cows and wild turkeys. Beautiful cabin. I would recommend this cabin.

This is not a log cabin per say, but a small, clean home just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Little Switzerland. While I wouldn't take a motorcycle here(somewhat steep gravel driveway leading up to house), it is an excellent option to sparse hotel offerings in the area. Great hosts as well. Full kitchen well appointed. Would definitely stay here again. Loved the quiet!

This cabin was well described on the website but more remote than we expected. It would help if the host mentioned that you must enter a private drive to find the property. We could not figure out the heating. The host was quick to respond and followed up with us. The front door was a little tricky. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.

The log cabin was so cute and quaint and spotlessly clean with a beautiful front porch. The views are so peaceful and serene at the cabin. We never even turned on the TV once! The cabin was easily accessible and not far to get to the Parkway although we felt more comfortable getting back before dark as we are not accustomed to the curvy roads! The cabin and environment was everything we expected from the listing and we enjoyed our waterfall hikes off the Parkway during the day and coming back to a relaxing dinner at the cabin and having a fire in the chiminea. My only suggestion would be that it would have been nice to have an outdoor small table on the front porch by the rocking chairs as we did not bring our camping tables! The living room couches were comfortable but a "coffee table" in front of the couches would have been perfect for our maps and waterfall books! Other than that, everything was perfect!

Except for the extensive pine paneling (floors, ceilings, walls), in appearance this would amount to a well-constricted, well-equipped, two-bedroom suburban style home, not for anyone looking for a rustic mountain cabin, e.g., with a fireplace and a view of the mountains. That aside, very pleasant, convenient living space. Nice wooded, private surroundings.

Cozy Quiet Getaway
This cabin is wonderful! Very cozy, quiet and clean. We like quiet vacation spots and this was perfect! Prefect size for us and our two small children. The beds were comfy, linens soft and fluffy and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The host was fantastic and checked in to make sure everything was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Cabin
My husband and I had a great time in this cozy and clean getaway. We loved that it was hidden away and it felt very private. We cooked some great meals (although we needed a colander and garlic mincer-we made it work). We opened our windows at night and had a beautiful mountain breeze coming in. Drinking coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch was great in the am. Right next to the parkway and some great hiking trails are close, esp Grassy Creek Falls.

Great cabin in the woods
We found this to be a great cabin for the vacation we wanted. It was away from other homes/cabins, and we loved that we could open the windows for fresh air and not have the sound of cars going by.
