About this house rental

The Green Light Lodge is a uniquely designed home created to allow you to unplug from the daily grind, reconnect with loved ones, and let your mind roam free. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath raised A-Frame home in the NE Poconos lake region, about 2 hours from the George Washington Bridge. The home is in a private gated lake and amenity filled community called The Hideout, located in Lake Ariel, PA. The Green Light Lodge sleeps up to 8 adults comfortably. The “lake bedroom” has a full sized bed, the “lodge bedroom” has a queen, and the “train car bedroom” features 2 sets of bunk beds, or four twin beds total. The home features an open layout with exposed wood vaulted ceilings, large windows with a plant filled wrap around deck (including seasonal views of the lake), renovated quartz kitchen, a speakeasy style downstairs complete with shuffleboard, darts, a bar, corner booth with extensive library, and cozy leather club chairs. Every room in the house is filled with interesting antiques and treasures from our personal collection and travels. There is plenty to do in the area, but you’d be surprised how easy it is to spend a whole weekend not wanting to leave the house! Please be respectful of our home and belongings. A lot of love and effort went into creating this space and filling it with our personal treasures. We hope to be able to share our home with you and others for years to come! We provide: • Avalon Organics Bath Products: Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash • Designer bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels • Toilet Paper and Cotton Swabs • A selection of K-Cups for the Keurig and Pods for the Nespresso machine • Smart TV (hulu, netfilx, and more!) • Record player with speakers and an assortment of new and vintage vinyl • Google Play for music in the Bar room • Some baking and cooking essentials including: Flour, Sugar, Pancake Mix, Olive Oil, Spray Oil, Salt, Pepper, and garden herbs homegrown on the deck (dependent on seasonal availability) • More cookware, dishware, and drinkware (new & vintage) than you will probably ever need • Cleaning supplies (paper towels, dish towels, soap, sponges, dish detergent, “Free & Clear” laundry detergent) • Washer & Dryer • Large mini split air conditioners (also heat source) in main living spaces, fans in bedrooms • Universal phone charging pads in bedrooms • Ironing board and Iron • Hair dryers • Outdoor Gas grill and Gas firetable, propane included • Wood-Burning fireplace downstairs (firewood included) and gas fireplace upstairs • A two-man kayak with paddles, life vests, and straps for attaching to car • A wide selection of books (ranging from current to 100+ years old!) The Hideout and surrounding areas: We are within a 10 minute walk (or one minute drive) from the main beach (with kayak rentals), pool, ski Hill open on weekends + President’s week (currently skiing and snowboarding only- with limited reservations) and arts center. The community also includes a 9-hole golf course and pub, a second beach and pool, mini golf, a 2.7 mile nature walking trail, multiple parks with picnic tables and charcoal grills, and more! (All subject to separate fees from community and subject to availability with COVID restrictions in mind.) -Tons of bigger ski resorts and water parks are all within 25 mins-1 hour driving distance away! -Honesdale and Hawley are a short 20-minute drive away featuring great local shops, antique stores, wineries, breweries, restaurants, and small museums -We super passionate about the area and have tons of great recommendations! Let us know what you are celebrating and/or are interested in and we’d be happy to share custom recommendations for your group! Important things to note: • We are in a gated, private community with it's own security and requirements for renting. We realize this may be new to some travelers so we like to be as upfront about this as possible. The community requires info for ALL guests and vehicles that enter the community and stay at our property, and this is strictly enforced. This is not the house to rent if you are looking to have people come and go throughout your stay, or are hoping to squeeze in additional people, as we will be made aware and you will lose your security deposit. The fines for being in violation are steep and compromises our standing the community and ability to rent again in the future. • In compliance with our HOA, we require a rental agreement to be signed at booking. •All guests must be 25 & older unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.

We loved our time at The Green Light Lodge. It’s very cozy and perfectly curated, you feel like you’ve been transported into a Fitzgerald novel. Our little guy could not stop saying “this place is so beautiful”. He loved the train car room and all the games in the downstairs lounge. Lauren and Ryan were amazing hosts. Super welcoming and accommodating. Can’t wait to return!

We stayed at the Green Light Lodge with our two young daughters, and they couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the house was. Everything was perfect when we arrived, including some nice personal touches (s'mores! syrup for pancakes!) and very easy to get settled in. The house is very quiet and feels quite private. The beds are super comfy (we slept better than we have in months!), and our girls loved the themed bunkbed room. Eating on the deck and grilling s'mores over the fire pit was a perfect ending to each day. The kitchen is wonderful and truly has everything you need -- including some actually nice cookware, serveware, and utensils which is so rare in a rental! The local beach was great for kids but not overrun with families, had a really nice, mellow community vibe. The amenities were all helpfully staffed and clean and easy to use. Lauren and Ryan were very easy to communicate with via text and overall wonderful hosts. Thank you for a perfect getaway!
