We enjoyed our stay, loved having the 2 houses and that we were able to bring our dogs. This was our first family vacation In years and we were so thankful to do it here, with the beauty and the joy of the lake. We rented jet skis for 2 full days, it was a joy to have the lake house. Things I would be aware of: 1)we had to wash bedding from the top bunk before sleeping. 2) we had to clean the stove before cooking 3) we cleaned the back patio by the hot tub because we spent most the time out there In the lake house: 1) the coffee pot has the wrong glass-craft and so coffee will run out if not fixed 2) the lights do not work up stairs in the game area and the bedroom 3) the bed was uncomfortable

We enjoyed access to the lake and having a separate house for the teenagers was worth some of the less desirable qualities of the property which is definitely somewhat run-down and tired, but functional. I'd come back just for the 2nd house to give the teenagers their space. The hot tub took some work, but after adding appropriate chemicals (purchased in town since the on-site chem bottles were empty) and running the filter for several hours, it was a very nice addition to the evening routine. The evening serenity of the lake was interrupted my the truckers riding their compression brakes down the hill across the water. Certainly, not the fault of the property owners, but something to know about. The access road is somewhat steep and unpaved, but wasn't an issue.

We spent a fun weekend with family at this house. Not sure it was worth the price. The lower house was very nice with comfortable furniture. The good- 1. Lake location: having 2 houses was a big plus in that you get the lake-level view and a wider view from the upper house. Great views and the convenience of being on the lake for boating and swimming. 2. Hot tub: probably the highlight of the property. Great view from the hot tub at the upper house. 3. Upper house deck: great BBQ grill and tables. 4. Washer and dryer worked great and having a tankless water heater meant no running out of hot water while the washer and shower are running simultaneously. The not-so-good- 1. The access road is a VERY NARROW and VERY STEEP single-lane dirt/gravel road with only a couple of wide spots for passing oncoming cars. Very sketchy at night and in the rain. And there isn't a lot of room to turn around in the driveway (think 10-point U-turn). 2. The upper house furniture was terrible. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The kitchen chairs are falling apart. The living room couches and chairs are old and broken down. Big contrast to the nice furniture in the lower house, but... 3. The lower house is a 2-story floating house, which means there is a lot of wave action in the house, especially on the 2nd floor. Most of our party was unable to be in the house or on the deck for more than a couple of minutes before being affected by motion sickness. Will not be renting again.

Overall it was a great experience! Access road a little rough once you went through the gate. A lot of stuff laying around outside the upper house like it was a work in progress project especially by the lower level entrance. Otherwise a nice place to stay, good supply of kitchen utensils etc., ample supply of towels and bedding etc. Would consider staying there again.

This house was great for our large family get-together. We made countless memories and it had many opportunities for fun. We were easily able to dock our boat. The pros: -Size of the houses -a closet full of clean folded sheets and blankets -bbq ready with propane -fire wood on site for use -clean kitchen and a lot of utensils and cooking supplies -good wifi -pets allowed -driveway would easily fit a fourth car despite the listing allowance. Something for VACASA to consider. -most beds were very comfortable -T.V. was added, but we didn't end up using it:) - Hot tub was up and running (but was dirty and didn't smell any chemicals like normal so unsure of that) -Prior to our stay, vacasa was quick to respond to inquiries through the VRBO app The Cons -electrical setup in one of the kitchen cabinets had an unsafe setup. -this is important: the shower only lasted for 1 person. We had 10. So 9 people either had dripping water to bathe themselves for 5 days, or no water at all. This also meant the inability basically to do laundry. So having a washer and dryer didn't matter. No water would come out of the sink to wash our hands after using the restroom. -foul smell in the boathouse and water from the sewage system setup. Not sure if this is normal. -The step from the dock to the boathouse is unsafe. It needs a bridge system of some sort -steps are steep be ready for a cardio workout -couch felt dirty. It needs upholstery cleaning -Dead bugs in ALL the window seals. These looked to be old not new so even though many have made this comment here, it still has not been cleaned. -Wasn't aware there was a gate code and it was very hidden in the instructions from VACASA. This caused two cars to wait for almost a half hour while we tried to figure this out. I texted the phone number that was given to me on a pamphlet in the house, but no one ever responded to this. I also tried calling. Eventually another home owner saw them and let them in. I did finally find the code on the app -No A.C. that we could tell. This might matter for some -several broken outdoor chairs

This house is a gem! However, you need to be ok with little critters, after all it is in the woods.. also, this is not a luxury stay, which worked out for us as we wanted the experience of being in the woods. Be aware that the dirt road is very narrow and in a cliff and if you are afraid of heights this is not the house for you… we would however gladly stay here again!

This was a great spot for our two families to hang out. There's plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the scenery, beds/ bedding were comfortable, and the kitchen/ grill had all the accoutrements we could need. Our youngest kiddo was four and had no problems navigating the steps down to the boat house. All the kids (and grownups) loved jumping off the dock and swimming by the boat house and the kids were over the moon for the air hockey table. Great fun!
