We decided to stay at the Hobbit House for our annual friend ski/snowboard trip. None of us had been to Big Sky before so didn’t know much but this ended up being the best location ever! We were within a 10-12 min drive of the mountain and then only a 4-5 minute walk to the town center which was so much fun to have close by. We were so happy that we chose this location over others closer to the mountain base. We had access to bars, restaurants (go to Thai Basil!), and grocery stores. We walked here every night to either go out or pick up dinner to bring back. In addition, the house fit us all perfectly and had so much character. It’s a great location for friend group or family, plenty of room for family style dinners!! Overall, every guest was so happy with this house for all the reasons mentioned above and we will definitely be coming back!

Over the top rustic, but well appointed and designed with a practical layout. Open living/dining area, small kitchen, bedrooms spread over different parts of the house, and a separate but convenient game room with lots of activities (pool, ping pong, foosball, and board games). Plenty of firewood, dishes and toiletries. For a family of 5 for 4 nights, we only needed to buy food and drinks. It is conveniently located for access to the mountain activities and town center. We all really enjoyed this house. The management company, including access, answering questions, “checking out”, etc. was fantastic to deal with.

This is my absolute favorite place to stay in Big Sky. It's rustic interior and proximity to downtown make it the perfect mountain getaway.

The house worked very well for my family vacation. Every bedroom, except one has a bathroom. There are two separate living areas, which works really well for a large group. The location was ideal for walking to restaurants, music in the park and the farmers market.

The "Hobbit House" is a combination of log cabin and stones. The whole feel is cozy and old world. It's a short drive to the slopes and just across the street from groceries and a shopping area. Great location. It has 5 bedrooms. One is a master with a huge bathroom. However, you will probably need to share that bathroom with the bunk bed room next to it which has no bathroom of its own. The other three bedrooms have their own baths. The game room was key for evening activities (ping pong, pool, foosball). The kitchen is functional but the oven could use updating (we cooked at home every night). The ample space meant that among six friends, you can spread out for smaller groups or quiet time. Two garages make it easy to keep the cars out of the new snowfalls. The wood fireplace in the main room was a real bonus.
