We arrived at this property and found that the air conditioning wasn't working and we contacted Griselda the host. Messages passed backwards and forwards as one of us climbed up-and-down the house's very steep and narrow stairs checking if the a/c control which was upstairs had started, as she tried to start it up remotely, which she wasn't able to do. Between receiving messages we decided to sit outside on the covered area but had to clean dirt and bird poop off the table and chairs which in our opinion had taken months to accumulate. Inside was clean but we found the sofas were very worn and soft making it difficult to sit down and get up from. The last straw was when we found that the toilet wouldn't flush, We then decided to go to bed and had a difficult night sleeping We decided that we would not be staying for the three nights that we had booked and first thing in the morning we contacted the host to tell her, she was very evasive and over the course of the day we received massages saying she couldn't cancel and that we would have to do it through Vrbo. With Virbo telling us that this was untrue we soon realised that this woman would not be refunding us. Vrbo agents were not very helpful, telling us that they couldn't do this and they couldn't do that. All Vrbo seem to do is advertise a property, take the money off the customer and then give it to the vendor. Vrbo are not like Amazon who will get you a refund if you are mis-sold anything, Vrbo will not help.

Just because we did not arrive the day we started paying she did not send me the information to enter the property until I had to ask her and wait for her response. After extending our stay she communicated with me there was an issue with the comforter, and accused us of bringing a dog. After I assured her that was not the case and stating she should be able to verify due to the property having surveillance she never responded. Communication 1/5

We stayed in this home for a week and it was fantastic. It is very spacious and is very comfortable. Perfect for a family or group of friends. The location is very quiet and convenient. We focused on going to the various world bird centers in the area and this was a perfect location - it was very easy to get to them. We can highly recommend this home & host! We would stay here again.

this is our second time renting this property and our family has enjoyed it each time. Clean, spacious, fully equipped and in a great location in Mcallen. we would rent again, no doubt.

We had several children who needed go complete home work online and it was wonderful for them. The living room couches were so cozy as was the house. Thank you for making our berevement so much easier.
