Very convenient location, minutes on foot from the station and overlooking the Rhine, in a pedestrian area so no car traffic. Decent facilities. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Fan provided on a very hot day. Ideal for us for an overnight stay.
Room was adequate but small. Pillows uncomfortable. Staff were mostly brusque and a bit pushy in the restaurant. Cafés and bars downstairs were noisy until late, but that goes with the location. I'd expected more character in a historic hotel.

Location was perfect for us - well placed for the railway terminus, city centre, old town and our adjacent holiday barge pick-up point.
The bedroom & bathroom were OK for a small 2* / 3* city centre hotel; small but clean and equipped with the basics.
The lift was broken throughout our 3-day stay. There was no offer of help for us in our 70s to struggle with heavy suitcases up 3 flights of narrow stairs.
There was no in-room information. Nothing about hotel contact details, how to use the little safe, catering arrangements, tv channels etc which the foreign tourist might expect.
