Welcome to Summerhouse 363! If you are planning that St Augustine Beach vacation then you need to pick the right place to stay within your budget, you shouldn’t look any further than our ocean front/beach front condo at Summerhouse. Summerhouse has everything you need to have the vacation of your dreams, with 4 heated pools (in winter), tennis courts, shuffleboard, playgrounds, gym, racquetball courts, private beach access and so much more. Use the computer in the clubhouse if you like, grill out and picnic on the grounds, or play cards in the game room. There`s something for all ages here, and the best part is Crescent Beach, just yards from your door. This established vacation rental split-level condo features large sliding glass doors exiting out onto the balcony with a direct unobstructed view of the beach and the ocean. With two bedrooms and two full baths upstairs and plenty of living space downstairs, you have lots of room to relax and enjoy the space. Master Bedroom features a king size bed and the guest rooms has two twin beds. Bedrooms feature all linens and tvs. Cook a fabulous meal in our full equipped kitchen and catch a cup of joe on the oceanfront balcony. The unit will be equipped, just like a personal home. There are linens plus spares provided in each bedroom, towels (bath and beach), dishes, bake ware, etc. in each kitchen for easy meal prep. There are 2-3 beach chairs and several beach toys provided (we do not provide umbrellas as they are a safety hazard). There are several groceries stores within a half a mile, however we do start you off with a starter pack of cleaning and paper goods: * 1 Toiletry Bag per bathroom (travel size with shampoo, conditioner and lotion) * 2 Toilet Paper Rolls per bathroom * 1 Paper Towel Roll * 1 Bottle of Dish Soap * 1 Bottle of Hand Soap per bathroom * Dishwasher tabs * Laundry Soap * Several Kitchen Trash Bags * New Sponge * General Purpose cleaning spray or wipes Really all you have to bring is your personal toothbrush, your clothes and start enjoying yourself and relax. National Geographic rates Saint Augustine as one of the Top Ten places in the World to see Holiday Lights. During the Nights of Lights, the 144-square-block historic district twinkles with two million bulbs (each white, per city ordinance). Mid-November thru the end of January. Downtown Historic St Augustine is about five miles. There are golf courses and the St Augustine Amphitheatre within three miles and St Johns County Ocean Pier and Anastasia Park are about a mile away.

Location location location. Hear the waves. Nice condo with good communication with management company. Plenty of pool space.

The condo was in a very nice location. The condo was in somewhat disrepair. The window screen in the bedroom had large holes in it and the screen for the sliding door was missing completely. The smoke/fire detector had an open battery door indicating a non-functional detector. The microwave above the oven was inoperable so they put a counter microwave on the already limited counter space. We had trouble using the electronic code to enter the unit and called the number given, The instructions they gave me on the phone to open the door were incorrect. I finally figured out how to work the electronic lock. I also had to screw the doorknob on to the door as it was about to fall off. Not what I expected for the amount of money we paid for the week.

Overall the property was very nice except for the bed in the master bedroom. The mattress itself was fine but the bed frame was an old, brass frame and it was very loud in that every time you rolled over it creaked. It could use a few updates but the location is great and the beach was not crowded.

Much needed vacation for me and my husband. Condo was slightly dated but nicely furnished with everything we needed for the week. My husband enjoyed the nice selection of books and we enjoyed the neatly kept pool and grounds. Lovely vacation spot and would recommend for couples and families!

We have been renting at Summerhouse since the 80’s and know what is expected of owners that choose to rent. This unit was substandard and based on the reviews has been for sometime. The owners have done nothing to improve the unit and clearly have little pride.
• the closest grocery store is about 8 miles, not .5
• the towels were once white, now gray and stained.
• the bedding is older, not fresh, and looks worn (master bedroom)
• the sliding door to the balcony is very difficult to open. We finally left it open a crack so we could be sure to open when needed.
• the screen door is ripped along the bottom and sticks out
• carpet is filthy. I’m told it is cleaned 2X a year, but it is so badly stained throughout, it is impossible to see it as clean.
• the walls are dirty and need to be painted
• the kitchen is ill equipped, the knives are dull, and pots/pans are rusted.
• the stuffing is coming out of the cushion on a living room chair
These issues, accompanied by pictures were shared with the management company. Their response “owners are aware”“Maybe we’ll drop off new towels”, that’s it! I wish I was able to post pictures, to avoid anyone else from renting this unit. We paid nearly 3K for a substandard unit; do not make the same mistake.

Great, quiet location on the ocean with a very short walk to the beach. The unit was clean and spacious. Not a fan of the shag carpet. Sliders to deck were very difficult to open, and we called management two times. They responded each time and used some solvent on door track. It was a temporary fix, but they were very responsive. We had a great time and would stay in this complex again. But the unit could use a sprucing up.

The condo was very nice, but none of the electrical outlets in the bathrooms were not working and several others throughout the condo didn't work.
We did realize that the condo had an upstairs; however, from the description provided, we didn't know that the entrance to the condo was on the second floor (with a unit underneath) and was only accessible by a steep set of stairs! It was very difficult getting luggage, etc. up into the condo.
We also thought there was a balcony from the master bedroom, but discovered there was only a small window grouping.
Although the description was quite misleading, we did enjoy the condo overall. It was very spacious and well appointed.

We have stayed with Summerhouse before and love it there. This particular unit was very limited in what it offered. The décor was simple and bland. The beds were not comfortable. Master bed squeaked with any movement. Pillows were flat and the comforter smelled like it was not dried properly. Kitchen lacked most necessary tools. No scissors. Knives were terrible. The view was great though.

Beautiful location
just where we wanted to be, facing the ocean/beach. We thought the condo was the first floor according to the one photo but this condo was the second and third floor. Other than flights of steps the location was excellent.

Summer House great location
Don't think the listing mentioned that this condo is 2 stories (levels). I might have missed it. But very nice, would stay again. Shower door in master bedroom needs replacement or a curtain, not complaining just letting you know. Overall very satisfied. Thanks

Beautiful view from this condo. Complex has so much to offer with four pools, tennis, and pickleball right out the door. Unit included everything we needed. Close enough to enjoy sites of St Augustine while still being secluded and quiet.

Overall a great place to stay, clean condo and very nice staff. We were a last minute booking and they were very accommodating to us.

The shower door is broken, the carpet is old and stained, the sofa is broken down and repaired with plywood; it took a little while to feel at home, but overall, the location is perfect, the place was nice and the kitchen stocked with dishes and glassware that you would expect, the TVs are smart with streaming apps in all 3 rooms, the decor is nice although a little hodge podge... I like the reserved parking space and the proximity of pools and beach access. I liked the high top table & chairs on the balcony to see the beach without the rail obstructing the view. It was fine.

Disappointed
Property seemed to be overstated. We had a wonderful time being together and the accommodations were adequate. Beds in second bedroom were very uncomfortable. They would really only be ok for kids. Lots and lots of stairs which weren't really adequately portrayed. Overall, we were disappointed in property. Property managers did a terrific job communicating with us, and going to St. Augustine is a worthwhile trip.

For what we paid, we were scammed. There were many issues with this rental that could have been fixed. For starters, the property itself was not the cleanest. There were many dead bugs laying throughout the condo. In the master bedroom, the window was dirty and it was as if looking through a fog, with dead bugs smashed between the glass. It looked like it hadn't been washed in a while. The master bathroom had a dead outlet, and so did the other bathroom upstairs. The other bathroom upstairs also did not close properly so it was impossible to lock. Also, in the guest bedroom, the locks are flipped. The lock is outside, so if locked you are stuck inside the room until someone unlocks it. Both shower doors were broken and could only open on one side. Downstairs was no better. There were dead bugs scattered all around, and the living ones were always finding their way in even with the doors closed. The ants were huge and were all around, in the kitchen, the balcony, and the living room. It is in desperate need of extermination. On the second day there, the actual doorknob for the front door fell off due to the wrong screws being installed. The property manager did come to install whole new doorknobs because the previous ones were very old. The balcony door was also jammed and would not close properly. Getting in contact with the owner of the property is impossible. During our stay, the wifi and service went out. We had no service or wifi from Monday to Thursday. We tried numerous times to get in contact with the owner through the property manager, but they did not answer at all. Overall the condo needs some serious cleaning and updating. The area is beautiful, but we could not enjoy it as much as we liked because of all the issues with the condo.

The complex and property is very nice and in a great location. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. Unit 363 is clean for the most part but I noticed small bugs inside and the furniture is beyond worn out. The beds and couch aren’t comfortable so relaxing time was very frustrating when you were inside.

Great property but substandard condo
The two stars are for the property and location. The grounds were well kept and I couldn't ask for a better location. The unit however was outdated and worn. Screens were ripped, vertical blinds were falling off, furniture was old rusty and chipped, Carpets needed replaced, kitchen utensils look as if they were picked up at the goodwill story. There are great units on this property this could also be one if it was updated. Until then i would not recommend staying here.
I did look at other units while I was there and they do have much better units.

Nice space, clean, and on the Beach!
This property was perfect for a weekend getaway! You can’t beat the views and ease of being right on the beach! You can see and hear the waves from upstairs and down! The beach wasn’t very crowded and only saw an occasional car or two driving on by. The community was friendly and it’s a just a short drive to stores,restaurants, and bars.

I've gotta be honest and say that I would have like to have had more modern furnishings. A lot of stuff in the house felt like it was purchased in the mid-nineties. The couches and beds aren't the comfiest, and there were some minor aesthetic things like bad cable management that weren't deal breakers, but could be improved.
The views are as advertised, and it is about a 1,000 ft. walk to the beach. The property manager responded quickly to a concern I had, and the community is nice with a safe feeling.
For the money, it is worth it, but if the furniture was upgraded, the value would be over the top. In the end, I would recommend this as a great family vacay condo!

Relaxation
Waking up each morning to the sound of the ocean was very relaxing. The condo was very spacious and nicely laid out. The property was great, with something for everyone in our party. I would definitely stay here again.

Location--This complex is located at the far south end of Anastasia Island and has lovely beaches, beautiful heated pools and lighted tennis courts. Right next to Fort Matanzas and nature trails. Great complex.2. The unit--Excellent view, clean and plenty of room to spread out. Well stocked kitchen and we really enjoyed having a washer/dryer in the unit. Two and a half bathrooms with 3 teens was a real bonus. Plenty of hot water for all. The unit was so quiet, we never heard any noise from our neighbors.Pro or con depending--This complex is quite far from any amenities. There are no restaurants, bars or shops within walking distance. For a pandemic trip, that was a huge bonus for us. We felt very safe there and there were no rowdies on the beach. If you prefer a more quiet location or don't mind a drive for restaurants, this place is perfect.Cons--1. The unit was almost perfect but there are just a couple things that could be improved. It appears the owners have started updating but it does need painting. Our biggest complaint is the sleeper sofa. It is advertised as sleeping for 5 but the 5thperson's bed is the sleeper sofa which was so uncomfortable that we couldn't use it. It was even really uncomfortable just to sit on. The have put boards under the cushions to shore it up but really, it's time for a new sofa. I would also recommend putting bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom to make it truly a 5 person unit. We ended up putting a blow up bed in the 2nd bedroom for our 3rd kid.2. Cars on the beach--We weren't aware that cars are allowed to drive down the beach all day long. Perfect for a pandemic stay
