Escape to this charming, cozy, 100 year old 2-bedroom cabin set on 2 acres at the base of Mount Blue Sky in historic Idaho Springs. Rustic vibes & a picture-perfect setting make an enchanting retreat for couples, hikers & skiers. Enjoy home comforts with modern utilities, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, large living space with pullout sofa, and unique bonus room.

The space

Idaho Springs cabins are always a great place to stay, but I think you'll agree, this is one of the best! It's a dreamy sanctuary nestled in a canyon across the road from Chicago Creek. Fall asleep to the sound of the river audible from both bedrooms. The cabin is not too far off-the-grid, so conveniences and home comforts are not compromised.
You can enjoy a romantic couple's getaway here, or go explore downtown Idaho Springs with its rich mining history along with many restaurants, shops, and attractions. No matter how you choose to spend your time here, you will feel rested but never more alive.
- Master Bedroom: King size bed, wall heaters, night stands, closet, blackout shade, and seating area complete with floor sofa and convertible beanbag. Upgraded Nectar memory foam mattress.
- Guest Bedroom: Queen size bed, wall heater, night stand, closet, and blackout shade. Upgraded Nectar memory foam mattress.
- Bathroom: Clean and modern with a shower and tub.
- Kitchen: Fully-equipped with an oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator and essentials. Upgraded reverse osmosis water filtration system for pure drinking water
- Living Room: Pull-out sofa complete with upgraded memory-foam mattress, love seat, flat-screen TV.
- Grotto Cave Room: Unique and fun bonus room! Rocking chairs and a small table. Transparent roof for ample sunshine. Heated in the winter.
Amenities:
- 984 sq. ft space, intended for up to 4 people
- The pull-out sofa could potentially sleep 2 extra guests
- Electricity, plumbing, hot water, WiFi
- Electric wall heaters
- NO indoor gas or wood-burning heat source

Guest access
The entire cabin is yours to enjoy during your stay. Access is by digital pin deadbolt - I will provide you with the pin number to unlock/lock the front door. Each code is unique to the guest.
Other things to note:
REMOTE CABIN STUFF
- Our cabin has satellite Starlink internet and therefore the connection can sometimes drop for a few seconds every hour or so. Not noticeable unless work from home with lots of long duration video and voice calls. Use your time at our home to disconnect from technology and embrace the beauty of the Rockies!
- The Master Bedroom has low, sloped ceilings so please watch your head when going upstairs and walking around!
SNOW
- During winter / spring months, we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to be able to easily park in our potentially snowy / icy driveway. Please plan accordingly as we do not offer refunds due to road conditions and incapable vehicles. The driveway is short at only about 50 yards from a county-maintained road that is well-plowed. Guests may have to shovel out (snow shovel provided) the driveway if there is a large snowstorm during the visit. Large snowstorms occur 1-5 times/season. It is recommended to be able-bodied during winter/early spring months.
WILDLIFE
- Please do not leave trash and food outside as this will attract wildlife! Bears, elk, big horn sheep, and deer roam the area. However, encounters are rare.
WIND
- The cabin occasionally gets high winds, especially in the winter months, sometimes reaching up to 65 miles per hour. The noise from the wind can be quite noticeable. Ensure you and your guests understand that such conditions may exist during your stay.
LANDSCAPE
- The land can be uneven, rocky, and dangerous in the Rocky Mountains. Please be mindful of proper footing around the property.

Sits just at base of mountain with a river across the way!! Such a lovely hide away but close enough to all the things FUN. Well equipped kitchen, filtered water, did I mention the amazing porch rockers? I’d go back in a heartbeat!!

Cabin was exactly as described. Location is perfect for exploring the area.Bed was comfortable,kitchen appeared to have all you needed to cook. We didn't cook because we were well acquited with local food.Plenty of hot water for showers.Wifi was excellent.We had to leave early to weather incident at homeso only got to stay 2 days.It snowed and rained both days in Idaho Springs.During 20 degree weather,cabin stayed cozy!!!

This cabin is a hidden gem! A treasure away from the hustle and bustle. And the local hot springs was an unexpected pleasant surprise! We hope to visit again soon.
