Pleasant

Location is good. Staff are very polite and kind.

Facilities are old and need to repair. Staff is not trained well for room cleaning service. English is bad for male waiters at the breakfast area.

A hidden jewel in the busy Nimman Area

The location is great, easy accessible. It is a special place with tropical atmosphere, lots of green and giving a cozy atmosphere. All in all a great place, we came back already 4 or 5 times.

when having a room with 2 single beds, then the beds are quite small. there was no safe in our room the shower curtains are too small, they should reach the floor, due to being short there is always water flooding into the bathroom/toilet. Lack of international TV stations WIFI was poor in our room

Large, well appointed rooms and beautiful pool and grounds in a convenient location.

Wonderful stay, breakfast was variable but in general good. Only issue we had were very loud kids in the pool right outside our room for one full day, but otherwise it was a good stay and we even extended the time there. The rooms are large, attractively decorated and well appointed.

The beds were very firm, so make sure that you are comfortable with that. We slept well so it didn't deter from our comfort. Kids next door to us and in the pool ruined our peace and quiet but only for one day.

Traditional and authentic. Breakfast was ok. Staff were excellent. Roof space was private and very relaxing.

An urban oasis stay in Chiang Mai.

A very quiet 'resort' hotel in the middle of bustling neighbourhood. As soon as you step into the hotel, it has a very transqil feeling and the lush green vegetation cools the temperature right away. Room is very spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing stay.

A small bar area in the late afternoon and early evening to serve drinks by the pool would be lovely. But we understand that with covid situation, some area is closed.

Disappointing

Great location, wonderful staff, peaceful property.

Very overpriced and overrated. Food was not good, pool was freezing and the facility was very dated. Better value for money elsewhere.

Room had character, has a lush garden, close to everything in Nimman. Staff is so friendly!!!!

the bathroom smelled like sewage. you get over it, and I’m sure there is nothing they could really do about it. Pool was freezing.

Perfect if exploring all day, not a relaxing retreat.

Room, pool, location and staff were all wonderful

Although the pool area looks and feels like a hidden sanctuary, and the rooms are nice, the property is right underneath the flight path of Chiang Mai Airport, with very loud planes flying over every 5-10 minutes.

such a pleasant stay

i love the old style and all the wood. The gardens are beautiful. Its like a private world there. My room was spacious , clean, comfortable and quiet. i don’t know why other reviewers complain about the breakfast. It had many choices including salad, yogurt, cereal, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, 3 Thai dishes , rice , coffee, tea, juice . very plentiful.

my only complaint is the mold in the grout of my shower. it looked dirty and made the room a slight musty smell. otherwise the room was immaculate. a few things could use an upgrade like some furniture.

we stayed at room no. 301 the problem is about something noise which we don’t know where the noise from, and bathtub too big to get full.

Bad experience ever

The greenery, the swimming pool : this resort is like a tiny oasis with many well-cared plants. The male receptionist returned my lost bag.

Extreme noise pollution. This resort is near the airport and every time airplanes land or take off, they make loud sound. I wake up at least 3-4 times per night and my wife has headache. The room is poorly soundproof. Besides airplanes sound, you can hear clearly the sound of other guests talking, children running in next or below rooms. At 5pm, the resort turn on the fountain of the swimming pool and it make noise, again. If you can manage to go back to sleep, at 6am, you will be finally waken up by the sunlight as the resort do not have sufficient curtains to keep your room dark (image). Services are not good as well. They say on booking.com it is a 4-star resort. But the services are even lower than some hostels I have stayed. They have slippers for you to use inside your room but no slippers to walk around the resort. No toothpaste nor toothbrush. The female receptionist are calm (or cold). I do not see her smile during my stay. When I asked her to contact the driver for me (as I cannot speak Thai), she said “yes” but not get back to me the result. Then, I have tried to do it myself. Breakfast is basic, nothing much to choose. Sorry to say so but I wont stay here again or recommend anyone stay here. With such amounts, we are deserved better services and better facilities.

Location The hotel is such a charming Thai northern style housing complex - very elegant, and quiet. It is tucked away graciously from the bustling nimman road where all cozy cafes, trendy restaurants and bohemian boutiques dotted along this sassy strip of the city. It is like an oasis of the city. Love the decor and the ambiance! A few caveats here are mosquitoes (and you can ask very friendly staffers to spray the insect repellent in your bedroom, you are staying in a tropical city after all) and some late night loud noise when airplanes take off from a nearby airport. Otherwise I don't think I heard the loud noise after midnight.

Everything. It's a perfect jungle retreat in the middle of the popular street. You feel like you are deep in the wild but you can walk to countless restaurants, shops and bars.

Great other than the paper thin walls.

Beautiful property, great location with friendly staff. Large rooms with fridge, bath and shower, comfy beds.

Very poor (zero) noise insulation. You can hear everything in the next door rooms eg crying children, people moving furniture around (not sure why!). Take ear plugs! Breakfast buffet was very basic for the price - better to eat breakfast out, there are some excellent coffee cafes nearby.
