Having visited Fort Davis before, we decided to stay for a week, and I'm glad we did, because it was amazing!First off, Deanna and Lonnie were very welcoming and even had some tasty muffins waiting for us; which was a treat after a long drive. They both even stopped by to introduce themselves and make sure we were comfortable. Then, if we had any questions they were quick to respond through the Vrbo app or on the phone. As for the casita, it was very spacious, clean, and stocked with plenty of basic essentials to last a week for a family of 3. There's a full sized refrigerator/freezer, coffee pot, and Keurig with some included pods. They even supplied various teas, creamers, sweeteners, and a couple bags of microwaveable popcorn! Now as you may know this is the wild west, so there will be various animals, creepy crawlies, and things that can poke you. We kept a close eye out, but only seen one small scorpion under the outside garbage bin. We ended up relocating it to a rock away from the casita. Also, be aware if you leave the door open, things can crawl in. We had a couple brown recluse spiders sneak past us, but I managed to remove them before anyone accidentally got bit. As for tarantulas and mountain lions, we never seen any of those.Lastly, if you're an astronomer, birder, photographer, or hiker, this is where it's at. There's so much to take in that you'll wanna come back. I know we will be returning for sure. Thanks Lonnie and Deanna! You guys were the best!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Casita. Very friendly host and clean cabin We saw beautiful views out the windows. We watched deer there!!We would recommend this place for the convenience to local parks and it is a REAL bargain. We plan on staying here in the future!

The host was very welcoming and everything was exactly as she said it would be. The Casita is a wonderful place for a great mountain get-away with all the amenities it touts. We made immediate use of the washer and dryer as we had a week's worth of laundry to do. Everything we needed was there, although I did furnish my own laundry detergent, but detergent was already there (the same brand!)
