The large main bedroom with an en suite bath is located on the first floor and opens up to the large screened-in porch. With an additional four bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Located on a large lot looking out at Point Street, you and your family will have lots of shade and space for outdoor activities. When you're not enjoying the sand and waves, dine at the iconic Whaley's Bar and Restaurant while in town. You'll be just one mile from The Plantation Course at Edisto for an afternoon of golf, and Edisto Environmental Learning Center is six miles away for some family-friendly fun. An unparalleled family vacation is waiting to be had, and you can have your very own summer house on Edisto Beach. THINGS TO KNOW Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles. Security camera details: Camera is located under the carport. The other one is located on back deck, left hand side Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Bocation Time was clean, roomy, was well-equipped, and had a few extra bonuses for the kiddos (fun bathroom and a “secret hideout”/reading nook). We enjoyed listening to the surf in the evenings on the porches, the proximity to the public beach access, and the bar w/icemaker. The “beer fridge” was great in theory, but never got ice cold. We used it mainly for the kid-friendly drinks and snacks. Overall, our group would DEFINITELY visit this beautiful home again! We loved our stay!
For reference, we had 4-6 adults, 4-6 kiddos (ages 4-13), and everyone was super happy.

As a VRBO property owner and someone who rents a lot we were disappointed in the property at its price point. The location is great and plenty of room for a large family with all the essentials. Unfortunately the A/C would only cool down to 72 between the hours of 2am and noon, after that it would jump to 80 degrees. We also experienced several roaches before we called the exterminator.

We had a wonderful family Christmas get-together. The home was very comfortable for our family group....each bedroom was nice and roomy with comfortable beds! Having the two refrigerators was a great bonus. The location and access to the beach was great...also, a nice yard for the kids to play outside! Kitchen was well stocked for our family meals. Thank you for sharing this great home!

This spacious house provided 4 couples, three kids and a grandma plenty of room to gather for Thanksgiving. The kitchen had all the necessities to cook a big feast.

This home was fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked from pots/pans to crockpots, silverware, serving trays, coffee makers, toaster, etc. you will not need to bring a thing other than food. We loved the large bedrooms that were spaced out nicely giving everyone privacy when needed, the bathrooms were large and the rain shower was awesome. The kitchen table was ample for our large crew. You could hear the ocean from the back porch and you have 2 public beach access points within steps. Not a great water view (only a very small section from the second floor) but you can be at the ocean in seconds. Would love to stay again!

The house was very nice and clean. The bedrooms are a good size. I like the linens and towels are furnished, and the departure cleaning is included! The house is in a very good location, right by a beach access and only a few steps away from the beach. The two refrigerators are a big help for a week, however, one frig door didn't shut good unless we duck taped it. The stove is gas and we couldn't use the oven because of the strong smell, just used the range. However, overall it is a nice place to stay!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week at Summer House. Location is prime and house is very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. More water pressure in outside showers and more comfortable living room furniture (big couch is kind of "sat out!")were the only things on the negative side. Grandchildren loved the "kids' room" upstairs. We will come back to Summer House!

The only thing that could make this house any better would be an elevator! There were 16 of us and plenty of room. We enjoyed every inch of space, from the screen porch to the bar to the outdoor showers! There were a few minor problems with the house such as the ice maker only functioning off and on, but nothing that took away from our fabulous vacation! We hope to be back next summer.

We have been vacationing at Edisto since I was a child. We love everything about Edisto. The house was clean and overall well-kept. Very spacious. All appliances were in working order. The sleeper sofa in the upstairs dorm room was very uncomfortable. It also got quite warm in that room, esp. at night. We would definitely stay again.

Summer House was an excellent place to stay. The house was clean and updated with very comfy beds. The children especially enjoyed the room with the single beds. There were plenty of games and tv's in the house to provide entertainment if you were not inclined to go to the beach. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the pots and pans we could hope to use. Some attention needs to be given to missing knobs on kitchen cabinets and pulls on dresser drawers. The icemaker was broken when we arrived on Sat. and it was not fixed until Thursday. I called each day beginning on Sat. and the rental agency finally sent out an ice chest of ice on Wed. afternoon after we had bought ice for four days.
